Kid friendly

Ate there last night! Eat here with family, usually, and always enjoy the choices of food. The salad bar is a meal in itself. Great for kids with their hot bar, salad and desserts. Prices are great for the value and choices.

Close to the hotel we were staying in. The buffet has a very large selection. The food for the most part was good. Some items were cold ie. french toast at 7:30am. The servers and workers were very nice.

Where do I start? I routinely try to love Country Cookin. Here is why: 1) The people that work there are very friendly and most have worked there for years. 2) The people that work there are locals, they know your name, and vice versa. VERY friendly atmosphere. 3) I love the concept of ordering an entree and helping myself... More

Not bad for a quick stop. Cheap, and lots of carbs! If you have not been before ..here is the routine, There is a very good buffet for $7.49. All kinds of salad stuff, vegetables, cottage cheese, canned fruits, desserts, soft serve ice cream machine, etc. For another dollar or two you can order separately a main entree. This comes... I had eaten here years ago when traveling south, in the days before Cracker Barrel and knowing about other local options. The menu now is mostly pub food with no bisquits, greens, okra, or fried chicken. The menu items are heavy on starch. The wait staff was very nice, but I waiting a good while to pay my check with... Like to support non-chain restaurants, and the location sure is convenient right off the interstate for travelers. The food was just average, not fresh, treated like it's right off the Cisco truck just like shoney's or anywhere similar. Would probably not visit again.

I was driving through the area on my way back from Pa. and saw the billboard and decided to stop. Luckily I was able to park nearby because I was driving a pick up truck with a 35' trailer. The place was very clean and the staff was welcoming and nice. I order the "famous" chicken strips. They were good.... More

Stayed at the nearby Comfort Inn and asked Michael, the desk staffer for a good place for dinner. He suggested Country Cookin, just down the road. So, off we went, tired and hungry. Well, what a pleasant surprise. Country Cookin has a salad bar with more items that most places. It's included with the dinner entree. Had the ribeye steak... More

We have eaten here several times, over the last several months. It is reasonably priced food with a good selection. If I remember correctly, you order your meat from the menu and there is a large buffet with salads, vegetables, and deserts. The only stipulation I have for you--DON'T OVEREAT. We were staying at the Holiday Inn and Country Cookin'... More
