Good Food and plenty of it

Portions are large, service is fast and friendly and value is high. Add in the best salad and desert bar I've ever been to. Richard does a great job keeping the salad filled and fresh. We go every month. Love the place.

It's good basic food if what we had is any indicator. You're not talking a gourmet restaurant here, but you can find something reasonably healthful and tasty to eat. The salad bar had a good selection and the desserts satisfy a sweet craving if you have that. I found the cornbread dreadfully salty, however.

Thanks for your review! You are correct - we're aren't a gourmet restaurant, nor do we try to pretend to be so! Our goal is to serve good, hearty, solid food and lots of it, in a warm, friendly environment at an affordable price. I'm sorry you didn't like the cornbread but glad other parts of your meal hit the... More

Stopped here for breakfast on a Sunday morning. We had the buffet which had a good variety of hot and cold food. I especially liked the Christian music that was playing.

Adequate salad/dessert/soup bar, but for a little extra you can add meat and a potato. I had the salmon and it was excellent. Staff very friendly.

Country Cookin is a sometimes travel stop for us depending on the time of day. At one time I would of said it was hit or miss. This past Friday was a direct hit. Hubby was steered away from the chickenvkivers by the waitress and choose the grilled chicken, I had the beef liver and onions and thought of Mother.... More

This restaurant was next door to the hotel we stopped at that evening. We enjoy buffets, but there was nothing to indicate there was no meat on the buffet, and servers neglected to point that out. We were given menus, but told the server we'd like the buffet. She said go ahead and I'll get your tea out for us.... More

Thank you for your review. We hope you enjoyed your meal of Endless Salads & Sides. As you noted,we have a menu that lists the entree choices. The cooked-to-order entrees are all accompanied by our huge salad bar, which includes hot vegetables, soups, bread, and dessert in addition to traditional cold salads. Unfortunately, sometimes guests see the bar and believe... More

We stopped here during a long road trip with our 2&5 year olds. Perfect place! The salad, sides and dessert bar is a great deal. The kids can have it for free!!!! I had a grilled chicken breast that wasn't so tasty, but I'm sure it would have been better if i chose bbq or Cajun. My husband had a... More

The location is great. It is conveniently located near the interstate. The food and service were good. We were there at a very crowded time.

We ate at Country Cooking after Church services on Sunday. The hostess was very friendly and the service was very nice. The salad bar was fresh and stocked, the entrée was delivered quickly and tasted great. A good family restaurant. The Law Family

I would recommend anyone who is looking for some southern cooking to stop by here for some good dinner or brunch. The staff is also very friendly.
