We stopped here for breakfast on our way home from a busy holiday weekend only to find a very quaint old building with the best lattes and brunch selections. I had the banana walnut french toast with a side of Jacks (fried dough with powdered sugar, much like a benet in New Orleans). the food was Absolutely fantastic!!! Prices were... More

Stopped here for coffee one morning and were pleasantly surprised at finding a full food service. So we sat down for breakfast, were handed a menu with many original choices from "jacks" (fried dough hot and sprinkled with powdered sugar DELICIOUS!) to fruit to entrees made from local seafood. Had the crab cakes and they were wonderful. Not a lot... More

Our office orders from Arnest (Formerly Java Jacks) on a regular basis and lately the quality of the food has not been great. 3 of us ordered the club and received non toasted, stale, white bread with no bacon a few pieces of turkey and ham with mozzeralla shredded cheese and a tomato. Not what we have received in the... More

New owners/name, but the cooks/ staff is the same. Most of the menu is the same as it used to be, which was a gem of a find in Tapp. Been eating here for years... Go for Breakfast, get the Jacks- fried beniets topped with powered sugar. Maria never fails to impress any time of the day- always consistant, always... More

They had great coffee, and the menu was interesting, but I have been there three times now, and I can't say there was anything really special going on. Once, I ordered the crab omelette, and the crab meat was not fresh; very fishy flavor and strong aroma typical of crab meat past its prime. The other two times the food... More

Arnest Seafood is a very quaint little cafe. Don't be fooled by the name, this is more than just a seafood place. We stopped by two mornings in a row for breakfast, which was wonderful each time. Everybody was incredibly friendly, the coffee was frequently topped off, and the food was delicious. What more do you need? Well, I guess... More

The atmosphere and vibe is much the same despite the ownership and name change. The menu appears identical to JJs, to include the Jacks. According to their menu, "a 'jack' is a fried light Italian bread known as a Zepolli." One to two of their breakfast items contain seafood, as they have a seafood spin on Eggs Benedict called Eggs... Hi, This cafe is in an old, smallish house which gives it some country atmosphere. The breakfast menu has many choices. My husband was happy with his vegetarian omelet. The yellow grits were good and the breakfast potatoes were wonderful. They were flavorful and not greasy at all. Good service. They seem to be running a successful cafe. I hope... More

Some time near the first of December 2012, the restaurant changed name to" Arnest Seafood. and Cafe" My wife and I stop by for a luncheon sandwich and was very pleased with the service and quality of the food. We had a Turkey Rueben with two side dishes of sweet potatoe fries and Onion rings ( we shared because the... More
