This place used to be a hospital, but that was a long time ago. It is rumored to be haunted, but that just adds to the fun of staying in such an old place. The food was good. Its a great place for a business lunch, probably the only place in town for such a thing. I really enjoyed my... More

We had the best meal and romantic evening. It was a very romantic evening with good food, wine and accomodations! I will never forget it.

The French onion soup appetizer was very good, but our entrees were cold. The Jack Daniels flat iron steak had a good flavor, a little on the sweet side, but good. However, being served cold ruined it. My dining companion had the Victorian Surf and Turf and said the shrimp scampi wasn't very good. His steak was good, but again,... More

First the hotel, we booked on bookings.com and couldn't beat the rate. The hotel was very old and creaky but had a lot of character. The employees were very friendly and accommodating. We got a small room but that is what we paid for and what we were expecting. Unfortunately it was on the front of the hotel so there... More

I really did try to love this place. I do enjoy "Ole time", unique places that are hard to forget. The Strasburg was, indeed, one of those but did leave something to be desired. I think Robert E. Lee may have slept there and they have not done much to maintain it since. Kind of reminded me of your Great... More

Strasburg has quite a few inexpensive restaurants that serve good food. If, however, you want something a little more special - more historical atmosphere, unique backstory, fancier food - then I'd recommend Hotel Strasburg restaurant. My boyfriend and I ate here recently, and he said it was one of the best meals he's had out in a long time. [He... More

Eight of us for a reserved table. Smart-mouthed blonde at the maître d' stand. Escorted to table, finally. Waited 20 minutes for beverages and bread and then an interminable wait for dinner but that waitress was a breath of fresh air. Never again even though the food was good.

With their very friendly staff and great ambiance, a visit is worthwhile. The small rooms and lack of TVs might disappoint some, but the period decorations are awesome! The dining room is excellent as is the food. Of course, it's history is very interesting too. I recommend a stay at this historic hotel.

The unexpected sense of historic and contemporary greatness. You are surrounded by benchmarks of the Hotel Strasburg's place in history and reminded of its place in the economy of the town of Strasburg. The hotel is a landmark and needs to be experienced from bottom to top...
