Our first dinner in the Shenandoah Valley. Read about the hotel in AAA handbook, decided to try it. The hotel is really old fashion, clean. The employees are very nice and the dining room is marvellous. Old fashion room who let me feel back to the past. We had soup of the day and the incredible Strasburger! Go and get it!

Had heard good things about the restaurant so finally drove over to visit. Nice Sunday buffet..not too many choices for $18 a person. A mini salad bar which was the most variety but only two choices of dressing..ranch or French. For entrees they had a scrambled egg mixture, grits, gravy for biscuit, Virginia ham, meat loaf, potatoes, mixed vegetables. That's... More

Very well prepared meal, surrounded by Victorian antiques. Cozy dining room is a great place to reconnect or enjoy good company. In the main hotel.

Although we had been to the Strasburg Hotel restaurant for lunch, we had never dined there in the evening. What a treat! The experience was super all the way around. Hotel proprietor Sam Saliba visited our table and made an excellent wine selection to go with our very special entrées from a diverse menu that gives you the option to... More

We'd put in a long day of 9 hours of travel. The hotel clerk recommended this place where she had once worked, noting that she believes, from first-hand experience, that it is haunted. We did not care and had no desire to get back on the interstate for a food run. It was a slow Sunday night and we could... More

They have full sized dinners and petite sized for people such as my husband and I. We had the pork schnitzel which was very tender with a flavor able sauce. Calamari for an appetizer, desert and coffee, and local microbrewery beer and wine. All of this for less than $70 which is great for a No Virginia couple. Service was... More

If you like skipping the interstate chain restaurants and eating somewhere interesting and local, try the Hotel Strasburg. The dinner menu has a nice variety, and the friendly waitresses will give recommendations and suggest substitutions. The restaurant has a full bar, and a casual pub as well as a more formal dining room. We really enjoyed the shrimp and grits,... More

The downpour having put an early ens to May Fest, we decided to whet our whistle at the Depot Lounge. When we arrived the room was sparsely occupied, but by the time our Depot Sampler minus the Chicken tenders, and Mozzarelli Cheese sticks arrived it was filled to almost overflowing. Our bartender was doing triple duty. The menu is very large... More

Here we were hungry and passing through the tiny town of Strasburg. We couldn't find any place to eat until a local construction person pointed us a block off the main road to the Strasburg Hotel. We were dubious when we saw the old Victorian building, but the next trip through Virginia we'll be sure to make a detour and... More
