Nice little hideaway

We have enjoyed the bar area in the Hotel for a while now. Great place for a late quick dinner with a few people. We miss Alex and we would l see this gem of a location get an update with more comfortable seating and an outdoor patio area. Such a great place in town for a small group that... read more

For some reason, my husband and I expected dressy and expensive. But everyone else was in casual clothes, and the atmosphere wasn't stuffy at all. Amid the quirky Victorian decor, the food was a bit uneven (some items delicious and others bland & overcooked), and service was slow but courteous. The front desk manager encouraged us to explore the hotel... More

would have rather driven a few miles up the road to Denny's for the amount of money and quality of the food

My husband and I stayed here recently and it was a nice departure from the usual hotel experience. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The decor was antique which made it unique. Felt like we were back in time. Ate at the restaurant. Pricey but good. Very quiet and safe to stay. The area where the hotel is is... More

We were told to go to this restaurant by the a nearby hotel concierge. Well maybe it was once good. The victorian decor was lovely. Maybe it was an off night. I see that there are other good recommendations - but all I can say is on the night my wife and I were there, we both agreed, it was... More

The hotel and restaurant are decorated like a by-gone era. Very romantic and charming. The staff are friendly and accommodating. The food was hot and tasty. I had beef barely soup which was thick, hot and flavorful. My Greek salad was very large. My wife had the chicken pot pie. It was hot and delicious.

My husband and I have been stopping here on and off for 19 years. We are never disappointed by the accommodations or the restaurant. The mushroom soup appetizer and the crab cake entree cannot be beat--my perennial favorite. The hotel is furnished with antiques, is quiet and is just a wonderful respite from a day of driving. The breakfast is... More

This hotel from the past provided our party of three with an excellent dining experience. The food was very good, the service was great and very friendly. The dining area was a blast from the past. Old, but very nicely appointed.

This hotel is pretty unique I would fully recomand people to stay at this hotel. Each room is different and I have been there twice. The only thing is check in early during weekends, or it might be full. I love there breakfast though the hot breakfast was not included into the hotel stay, but it was really tasty (for... More

We had a simple dinner in the pub with salad, soup and sandwich. The salad dressing was very good. Service was a little slow, but seemed like they were understaffed and training a new person. But we weren't in a hurry and the atmosphere was very nice.
