My title says it all. Great menu and craft beer selection. My prime rib was one of the best cuts I've had in a long time. I'll be back!!
This location is nice because it overlooks water and has a ver nice outdoor patio and outdoor bar area as well. they do have seasonal beers which we enjoy and the outdoor atmosphere for the bar or sit down is great.
Lovely atmosphere and ambience. One of my favorite restaurants in the area. Excellent service as the waiters work like a true team. The menu and selections are always creative and fresh. Hadn't been there in a while - perhaps a good year but purely because there are so many other good restaurants in the area to try. The experience was... More
This is a solidly American food restaurant that hits the "sweet" spot. The food is really good. We had prime rib, rib eye steak and the salmon. Each was a hit and are highly recommended. Service is fast and courteous. Sweetwater is like a huge lodge so it can be loud. Chances are you'll be too busy eating and drinking... More
Sweetwater is my go to restaurant when company comes to town. The food and service are very good and reliable. I don't list it as one of my best meals ever because I am reluctant to give that accolade to anyone. I usually get the prime rib and it is reliably good. The mixed green salad is delicious.
The restaurant is an excellent place to have a beer from their brewery as well as an excellent meal. You cannot go wrong with either their Ribs or Drunken Ribeye. The desserts are to die for as well. The meal can be a bit pricey but the food is excellent. Will stop there whenever I'm in the area.
Stopped in for a burger and a beer. Place is huge. Tried a seasonal beer, not so sure about whatever they rimmed the glass with but the beer was OK. Burger was fantastic. Service was surprisingly quick despite how massively crowded they were. Will definitely be back!
For the longest time, I thought Sweetwater Tavern was a chain (it's not--just three local locations in Virginia). Generally preferring to support local restaurants over chains, I passed this place by for years before a friend finally corrected my error. What a shame that I waited so long to try it! It can be very tough to get a table... More
Went there for beers, Chambord, and fun, so cannot vouch for the food, but my brother says that the filet mignon is "to die for." The on-site microbrews are outstanding. Highly recommend the Christmas Ale and the American Pale Ale. Very, very friendly and accommodating bar tenders and a raucously lively vibe.
I have been going to sweetwater for years now and I have never had a bad meal except for once there. They have some of the best steaks around as well as salads and chicken. Very proactive staff and a very clean environment. This place is always very busy on the weekends and they do not accept reservations.
