Travling through and this german restaurant caught our eyes. having been stationed in germany for 6 years I found authentic german restaurants hard to finde. So finding the Edelweiss was an awesome surprise. They do have a separate gluten-free menu, wich is a huge pluss gor me. The service was a little slow and could have been better. But our... More

Was traveling in area on motorcycles and looking for restaurant. This came up on our GPS as closest. We were so astounded! Awesome German food, great service. I just wished I had looked at the desserts before ordering!! Charming with linen tablecloths and ambience. We are planning to make a Blueridge Parkway ride next year so we can go back... More

My wife and I were on a road trip on I-81 and stayed in a hotel one exit north. I wanted a meal that not did not come from a chain restaurant. It is great to find a gem that is a little off the beaten path. Edelweiss fit the bill nicely. It appeared to be family-run. Our waiter said... More

My wife and I went there recently and the food was delicious. We did go with our kids so we had a lot of fun. A lot of ethnic food can be found in the area be it Italian, Chinese, Japanese. But only one German restaurant.

Looking for a nice place for dinner while traveling and info in hotel recommended the Edelweiss just off I-81 in Staunton, VA. A nice rustic building, food was genuine, choice of draft beer excellent, good service and enjoyed the accordion music while we dined. You will enjoy a meal there if you happen to be near Staunton.

The German music on a Friday was an added bonus! The sampler platter was a nice way to taste everything at an affordable price!

Nestled in the beautiful Shenandoah valley just outside of Staunton, Va is this quaint little German restaurant. It is as authentic as you can get on the inside and the flowers and views of the mountains make it a great place to come to. The food is just okay. I have to agree with the previous write up about the... More

We loved it. Delicious. But it is SYSCO food. But you know what, they know how to make it taste fresh and homemade. The 16 Sysco food boxes were pilled in the back of the quaint house. The staff was super. The place is adorable. Easy to find, easy parking. Dessert strawberry cake wonderful. Chicken meal wonderful. Wish it was... More

Our second annual trip to Edelweiss did not disappoint! My mother ordered a stuffed cabbage special. She is a light eater, and still somehow managed to eat nearly both large stuffed cabbages for lunch! I ordered the same thing I did last year, the spinach pie, made from layers of thin crepes. There are many small side dishes that come... More
