Best food in the Valley!

Mill Street never disappoints. Ribs, seafood, pasta, chicken, steak are all excellent. I like that the butter flavor for the amazing bread changes constantly. The peppermint ice cream given at the end of each meal is the perfect ending.

Our meal started out with the Appetizer Sampler (very good). Following the appetizer, my wife chose the Chicken Avocado Salad which she enjoyed. My daughter chose the Mill Street Burger, and I went for St Louis Combo after looking over the menu. My daughter loved her burger. My wife tried everyone dish and said the burger was the best. The... We had a great meal at the Mill Street Grill and I see now why it was rated #2 in Staunton. And because #1 is apparently a great ice cream parlor in town then I would consider this the best "restaurant" in town. Great food, great service, reasonably priced and a nice menu balance between stark, seafood and barbecue. Highly... More

Have been going to Mill Street Grill for 15 years or every time we visit Staunton. Extensive menu. Recommend the Ribs. Good brunch on Sunday's too. Very popular so expect a wait. It's worth it!

second time we've stopped in Staunton VA while traversing I-81 on vacation. Great food in a 'quaint' section of town. They don't take reservations and get busy. Go early or be prepared to wait. Definitely worth the 'side trip'.

The front desk personnel at our hotel highly recommended this restaurant for dinner. It was a happening place, that's for sure. Very busy, but a party of two had no problem being seated. Our waiter was a bit harried, but took good care of us. And we enjoyed listening to a live band. Food was very good!

Ribs were excellent (baby back) as well as be fried green tomatoes. They make their own breads and butters (today's was raspberry so honey-changes daily).

Planned on staying overnight in Staunton & Husb. saw this restaurant reviewed. He craves well cooked ribs and these were the best he'd had in decades. The meat literally fell off the bones. They were perfect. The bread was soft and unusual, several types in one fluffy loaf served with honey-butter. My cup of clam chowder was nearly a meal... More

I read the TripAdvisor reviews and decided to try the restaurant after seeing a performance at the American Shakespeare Center. It was not a pleasant experience. First, every time I said something to my waiter he replied, "What?" Really, not once, not twice, not three times-- but four times! Perhaps he should have his hearing checked or try to pretend... It's a bit noisy and crowded, but we still got excellent service (even in a little table hidden away in the corner). And free ice cream. I recommend just ordering appetizers, because that and the bread (with homemade flavored butter) was more than enough food.
