This was a pleasant surprise. Very good food. Simple country cooking. The pork tenderloin was great. Their Mac and Cheese was the best and spoon bread was great. Prices were fair. It was worth the stop

Love this place. The portions are huge. The food phenomenal and the staff are fantastic. Eat here every time I'm in town. Never have I had a bad meal or a bad experience. Just good food and great prices. Do not miss out on this hidden gem.

We visited Mrs. Rowe's Restaurant on a Tuesday evening and it was not very busy, however we had to wait over 30 minutes for our food. It may have been an issue with our server though, as she didn't seem to be very efficient. Our drinks weren't refilled until other server stopped by to ask what we were drinking. When... More

We were looking for a breakfast place open on Sundays and had heard about Mrs. Rowe's. A large place that, except for the size and location (off the highway), seemed like a neighborhood diner. The server was friendly and funny (when we asked where do we pay, she said at the register, "but there's also a back door..."). Wasn't crazy... More

We just had a wonderful lunch here. It is a proper home cooking place with a menu devoid of fancy dishes. 2 Great burgers, Iced Tea, Wine. All in all just what I was looking for and the service of our waitress (Dani?) was fabulous - very attentive and full of personality. If I was living in the area I... More

Stayed overnight in Staunton, VA. Motel clerk recommended Mrs. Rowes. While service was good, meal was average at best and overall pricey. This is a "once-and-done" restaurant - if staying in Staunton, recommend you look at other options.

For many years I had stopped here off the interstate from Staunton, on the drive from the NE down to VA and NC when my kids were in colleges down in that region. Right about the time they were all graduating, a famous chain restaurant was built right next door, with a GIANT lighted sign that could be seen easily... More

Had heard a lot of great things about Rowe's but my first visit did not live up to my expectations. We (party of 5) were seated quickly on a Friday evening and quickly noticed that we seemed to be the only "non-regulars" in the restaurant which told me I was going to really enjoy my meal. I got the Stuffed... More

I cant say this is a 5 star restaurant, but if you like this kind of food, and this kind of atmosphere it was a 5 Star in the mom and pop Category. A definite local favorite where they make everything home made with fresh ingredients. You will want desert! So save space. Think of Meat loaf mashed potatoes different... More

When we couldn't find a restaurant on TripAdvisor close enough to I-81 in Virginia, we decided to pull off the highway when we saw a sign for a Cracker Barrel. We were passing a sign for Mrs. Rowe's and decided it looked like a local family restaurant, so we might as well stop there, instead. Turned out to be a... More
