Southern Comfort Food

Great service, decent prices, full menu. Food is good, not great, but, perfectly good when you are on the road. A quite acceptable restaurant.

I have Mrs. Rowe's Pie Cookbook so I wanted to try one in person. Split the BLT and fries w/ my sister so we could each have pie. My coconut cream pie was heavenly & her apple cobbler with ice cream was served warm and was delicious. Took cookies and sourdough bread back to the B&B. Everything was great!

Food is so good. Get the Lemon Meringue pie. Do not skip it! Everything we've eater here has been wonderful. I only give 4 stars because a couple of times we've had rude waitresses. I'm not sure if it's because we are clearly from the North, or if they were just having a bad day...

Very disappointed since was told this restaurant had been written up in Southern Living. Great southern menu choices but the actual food was definitely not up to par compared to southern cooking I've grown up with and enjoyed. The chicken was tough, dry and tasteless. The chicken livers were strong tasting and smothered with a mediocre gravy; chicken livers are... More

We were starving on our way home from Robbinsville, NC to PA and got off this exit because we saw a Cracker Barrel sign in the air. On the way up the road, we noticed this restaurant and decided to stop here instead. What a great choice! The food was much better and was southern comfort food. The mac n... More

Stopped there on the way back from Natural Bridge. Food was delicious. Hamburger steak and gravy mashed potatoes and baked apples. Hamburger was cooked medium rare as requested. Wife had fried chicken. Moist and crispy. Service attentive and friendly. Highly recommend.

Stopped by here for breakfast while traveling. Service was very good for us. The portions were huge for prices. I had an omelet, which was fairly good(perhaps a little more seasoning on the steak and potato filling) but the homemade bread used for the toast and apple butter were very good. My boyfriend had the sausage gravy and biscuits which... More

Food is good, basic food. Service was quick and server was attentive. They have a special area for the bus groups that stop there which is nice as we like a little quieter dining. Would recommend it!

Stopped here early in the evening while traveling across the country. Staff was less than attentive, although there were plenty of people around that worked there. Food was good, picked beets, sauerkraut were homemade. Steak and gravy very generous portion. Egg custard pie was flaky and not too sweet.

Stopped by on a whim while on a long road trip. The food was descent and the service was quick, but there was nothing special or outstanding about it.
