While we didn't eat dinner here, we stopped by for a sweet treat. All I can say is GO FOR THE COOKIES!!! They have chocolate coconut macaroons that are out of this world - a chocolate cookie with a wonderful coconut center - YUMM!! Also - the Chocolate Truffle cookies are out of this world!!! Be careful - you can... More

We have been to Mrs. Rowes many times for dinner but only one other time for breakfast (years ago). We went yesterday enroute to an open house. No one was waiting to be seated other than us, but it seemed like five minutes until anyone acknowledged our presence and we were finally seated. We must have had a new server... More

If you want some home cooked meals, this is the place to stop! Especially pies, fresh pies. But I haven't had a bad meal when stopping here, and I try to squeeze a stop in anytime I am headed up or down I-81.

I've eaten here many times over the years. It was nice to see that the quality was just as good as it was on our last visit to the area. They have a lot of choices on the menu. The kids menu allows kids to get a cookie or sundae with their meal.

This place came highly recommended, but failed! The waitress took forever to come to the table and I even saw another table just get up and walk out saying that they didn't have time to wait. Now, I am from theSouth so I am use to a slower pace, but this was ridiculous. I played it safe and ordered the... More

This is a family owned restaurant opened in 1947. Good, basic food, good service, and a clean and attractive dining room. Down home, Southern cooking.

As Snowbirds we like to search out "gems" on our way down South and back. Last year on our way back we happened onto this eating establishment. Consider us taken in. It was for lunch both times that we stopped here. Their soups and sandwiches are better than anywhere we have eaten in all our years, and that's a lot... More

We were passing through. This place was fairly busy. Obviously a local staple, we had to wait 15 minutes for a table. The server was nice, but not fast nor personable. The food was good, not great. The prices were OK. This place was 100% average.

When in the Staunton, Va area, we like to stop at Mrs Rowe's. It is near the Cracker Barrel at Ext 222 on I-81. Always treated well and the food is always good with a nice fresh taste. We stopped there last week on the way to DC. My husband had the hot turkey sandwich with mash potatoes and gravy.... More
