We discovered Baja Bean Co when another restaurant was too busy to notice us - so we wandered in here. The very friendly staff and the delicious quesadillas did not disappoint us. While it is not a White Tablecloth & candlelight place, it is a very comfortable, welcoming beanery. The food was delicious, although my son preferred the Chicken Quesadillas... More

This is just a real nice place to eat with a great staff, wonderful selection of what I call updated Mexican. Lots of neat stuff that puts it miles above Taco Bell fare. Large portions, quick service, clean tables (and restrooms). We both had the queso burrito. I would have liked a bit more chicken and cheese and a bit... More

I have mixed feelings about Baja Bean. My husband and I ate here and the place was quite packed. The food was really bad and boring. The salsa was a watered down version of some tomato and onion concoction. My other food was so bad that I didn't eat much of it . Our server was very erratic and not... More

My husband & I stopped in for a late lunch while visiting downtown Staunton. he atmosphere was fun & relaxed. Our server was very friendly & helpful. The food came out fast and was delicious! The servings were very large & we took half home with us. We came back later in the evening to enjoy the entertainer they had... More

Stopped in to the Baja Bean after a long day of driving. We didn't want a chain restaurant and it was open on a Sunday night. We both got the Caliente Combo and it lived up to its name. Their house- made honey diablo sauce is amazing, and the tasty salsa was freshly made. Not at all generic, made with... More

We felt the food was excellent: fresh ingredients and well prepared. Mexican with a slight twist....

Good, inexpensive Mexican food. Open on Sundays when many restaurants in Staunton are not. The waitress provided good service. The helpings were medium sized. A number of families were eating there with younger children. Nice place. Close to the Stonewall Jackson Hotel where we stayed.

Baja Bean doesn't come across as a typical Mexican restaurant, but rather a laid back place that happens to serve Mexican food. That's not a criticism; it's a compliment. I ordered a Big Burrito, a salad, and a pint of Blue Mountain Uberpils. The burrito was tasty and filling. The salad was an interesting south-of-the-border-influenced change from a typical house... We stopped here for lunch on our trip to Staunton. I ordered one of the enchilada platters. It was pretty good, but nothing special. Very heavy on the cilantro. I'd probably look for somewhere else to eat next time.

Bright and welcoming atmosphere in another of downtown Staunton's great restaurants. I have to say the fish taco is soooo good. The owner is there offering wonderful customer service and always with a smile. If you love Mexican food, cold adult beverages and a favorite of the locals"....go to Baja!
