Fantastic menu and service

We loved everything about this wonderful lunch stop. Huge menu, gluten free options, local beers and ciders, and fresh ingredients. Wait staff was so friendly and helpful. Upstairs and downstairs seating (we sat upstairs). I had a roast beef and Brie sandwich on a buttered multigrain roll - so... read more

A cute restaurant with good service. Served good ice tea and lemonade. I really wanted to love this place, but the food was just not very good. The veggie wrap was very bland with chopped raw vegetables and no seasoning. I couldn't eat more than a bite due to lack of flavor and wrap falling apart. Husband thought the Texas... More

A very modest room but a surprising variety of lunch choices. We enjoyed the cheese platter and excellent salads.

Very friendly service and tasty fresh food. We opted for the soup and sandwich combo: gumbo and a Reuben for my husband, crab soup and veggie burger wrap for me. It all tasted fine! Wouldn't mind another visit to the Pampered Palate!

Perfect spot for lunch. Moderately priced and not your ordinary sammich! Unique selections (We now duplicate the ham, brie, and apple on a croissant at home as it was scrumptious!) and deliciously prepared! Service was friendly and efficient. If I lived in the area this restaurant would see waaay too much of my paycheck :-) Scrumptious!!! Hubby thought so too!

Pampered Palate is my favorite downtown Staunton eatery. They serve delicious soups, sandwiches, salads, quiche, cheese platters and much more. 'My' sandwich is the Historic Staunton with its Brie and roast beef on a multigrain baguette. Divine!! The owners and servers are gracious and accommodating.

There is an extensive sandwich menu for lunch. I chose the Mountain Laurel: smoke ham, melted brie, and sliced apples on a croissant. It was very good. The service was a little slow. Our waiter looked very young (as in, is this kid old enough to be working?) and could have used a little more polish.

Yesterday my husband and I had a very nice lunch at The Pampered Palate. Business was lively and it appeared that most of the diners were locals--many knew each other and the staff of the cafe. We had the soup and sandwich combo--Corn chowder (excellent) and Portobello grain (also excellent). We didn't like our sandwiches as much--chicken salad, but I... More

Enjoyed a late lunch here. We both ordered potato soup. It arrived hot and served with crackers. The soup had huge chunks of potato and was a generous portion. I did find it needed a little pepper. I also ordered Quiche Lorraine with a side salad. It was a generous portion. Very tasty and served warm with a side of... More

Went for breakfast on a weekend. Quiet and pleasant spot, but not exciting. Menu is simple, but nice. Everything was fresh and simply presented. Service was attentive and accommodating. Overall, it was fine, and we would go back... But it just wasn't exciting or memorable.
