Just terrible.

Food was NOT good and neither was the service. Sat upstairs at first but server walked up to the table without a greeting saying "What do you want?". We ordered a pot of tea and then based on his interaction with surrounding tables we went downstairs. Ordered chips and herb dip to start which was... read more

We stopped for takeout sandwiches before driving the Skyline Drive in Shenandoah National Park. They have a lot of different and unique sandwiches. We tried the brie, ham, apple sandwich and turkey and Havarti. Sandwiches come with fruit or chips. I thought prices were a little high at nearly $10 and when I saw the size of the sandwiches, I... This bistro as a surprisingly large menu of soups and sandwiches and wraps that all look very nutritious. I ate there twice, once with a large group of cyclists and again days later with a smaller family group. Both times the service was good (the place was always packed with people waiting outside for a tale to open up). Understand... More

This lovely place has a long menu with many interesting options. We had a tasty soup and half sandwich special with fruit for about $7.50. Good soups, quiche, sandwiches. Easy free street parking.

This little bistro had a wonderfully tasty and a wonderfully priced menu. The quiche Lorraine was delicious and the perfect start to your day. Tables were a little small, barely big enough for two, but the staff was friendly and prompt. Worth a try.

Nice menu, cheerful service, good food. Lunch here twice--the first day it was very busy, and we had to be seated on the second floor--a bright cheerful room but up a lot of steps--despite the busy-ness of the place, and having to carry the food up and down, the waitress was cheerful and efficient and the food was good. I... More

A friend and I had lunch upstairs. The room was bright. We each ordered Greek inspired wraps and pitas. The food was fresh and flavorful. It has a nice atmosphere for a light lunch with many vegetarian options.

Food was fine. A leak occurred through light fixture in between tables. These things happen, and a man ran upstairs and quickly stopped it. Waitress wiped up spill with rags and then handed me the cookies I had ordered. If they hadn't been individually wrapped, I would have refused them. I suggested she wash her hands in case the leak... We visited Staunton after seeing the historical signs on I-81. It is a quaint little town, but not much to see. However, we happened on the Pampered Palate and thoroughly enjoyed our lunch. It has friendly local atmosphere with a large varied menu. Even though it was very busy, our service was good and the food was delicious. We will... More

If you want a quaint atmosphere for lunch with the ladies or your co-workers or even your current flame, the Pampered Palate is the place. They almost always feature a Virginia wine for the affordable price of $5 a glass; this is a plus to a Virginia wine lover like myself who wants to drink local. The quiche is delicate... More
