Really top notch. Small, intimate space. excellent service, locally sourced food and a very innovative menu. Not cheap, but definitely worth it. Will come again on our next trip to Staunton.

a great place to eat before or after a visit to the Shakespear theater across the street. the food is fresh and beautifully presented. the wait staff is attentive. The bar seems to have an endless list of cocktails. We always like to stop in there

arrived early before the show. was a little disappointed that with being one of the first to arrive and we had a reservation that we got seated behind a curtain that goes to the kitchen. The andouille appetizer was excellent. Dinner portion sizes were not large and we had room for dessert. Very busy so make a reservation.

Great service, small but interesting menu but expensive. For us it was for a special night out and we were not disappointed.

It was four of us, and we ordered all different things to explore as much as we could of the impressive menu. Everything was perfect, except the black eye peas in the Polyface chicken dish, which were hard as a rock. The lady who took care of us gave us the best service I have received on the East Coast.... Our company team celebrates special occasions at Zynoda. This restaurant prepares food at a level that seems out of place in Staunton. It reminds me much more of a restaurant in Chicago, or New York. It is well worth a visit.

Like the environment, classy, clean, open kitchen feel. More expensive end of the dining scene in Staunton, but worth the unique flavors and locally sourced ingredients. Not pretentious tiny portions like some other restaurants-you will feel full and your palate satisfied!

Daniel ws my server and made all the difference. A Shakespearean actor at the local Blackfriars Shakespeare Company, he was both fun to talk with and knew his stuff about the local farm to table menu. I had oysters from the nearby river that were superb. Lightly fried with a delicate sauce and collards. A terrific French white by the... More

I'm not overstating this. We eat out all the time in and around the NYC area, and have traveled around the country trying some of the best restaurants we can find. And one of the best meals we ever had was at Zynodoa. They have a very nice atmosphere, with a good wine, beer, and cocktail selection, and the waiter... More
