I often travel to Staunton for work and on a recent trip experienced this swanky, farm to table fare. Service was excellent; we had a round of unique drinks and cornbread scones to start. From gnocchi to steak we cleaned our plates. Of course we split a trio of to-die-for desserts too! I loved the mini jam jars with their... More

My wife and I had dinner at Zynodoa on 4/7/14. It was a great experience. We had the Southern Fried Flounder as an appetizer and the trout and hanger steak as the main dishes. The waitress was very knowledgeable and helped us decide on the dishes and the beer selection. The dishes and beers were excellent. The atmosphere in the... More

We had a great dinner here. Courses were farm-to-table and made enticingly interesting. Special drink menu was inventive. Well worth a trip to Staunton VA just to eat here.

Stumbled into this little charmer. What a wonderful restaurant, plenty of fresh choices. Micro brews as well. Great service.

We really enjoyed this place. The food was well prepared and presented. A common offering of steak was really unique in taste and presentation. The meals were a bit pricy but this I could not prepare at home, it was worth it.The owners are very particular in the quality of material. For example my wife wanted a Mojito cocktail but... More

I'm going to second many of the reviews of this restaurant - it's a great culinary experience. Zynodoa is a relatively small eastablishment in the historic downtown of Stanton, Va. In its seven years at this location, it has had time to polish its act to a brilliant shine. The decor is modern without being flashy, the service is friendly... More

We had only a single night in Staunton and picked this restaurant based on Trip Adviser reviews. The food was excellent, the staff gracious and attentive, and the ambience pleasant. I can see why they are rated so highly.

Our hosts at The Farmhouse at Veritas highly recommended Zynodoa, and they were spot on! Fresh, local, fresh says it all, as you can see from their blackboard with an extensive list of local sources for their menu. The staff is very friendly and attentive, the food was delicious - hubby had "the best risotto ever" (with carmelized onions) as... More

Read the review on trip advisor and said "why not" it was everything wonderful, walked in without reservation, had to sit at the bar... Fabulous, the bartender was everything, great waiter, knowledgeable, and a special person. The fried oysters, melt in you mouth, the scallops with the braised leeks, perfection, my husbands olive southern fried pork, delicious! However, the rock... More

According to my receipt my server was Sarah (I do not remember) but my lack of attention to her name did not stop her from being very attentive to me. An excellent server, presenting everything to me on the Chef Tasting menu with the wine pairings with knowledge and enthusiasm. The rabbit was very good, the risotto was yummy, well,... More
