Got out of a concert around 10 PM and looking for an open restaurant for a light bite. Behold Zynodoa - welcoming, well decorated, enjoyable and informative waiter and bartender. Asked if we could still get served and when they closed. Answer: yes and when you leave. So true. Enjoyed drinks, salad and several light plates including crab on lemon... More

This is a first rate place, the food is wonderful and the service is excellent. We eat dinner before seeing the play at Blackfriar's and they made sure we were out in plenty of time. Hope to return!

Enjoyed a birthday celebration dinner here while staying at the Iris Inn in Waynesboro. They were kind enough to work us in on a busy Monday night after making a last minute reservation. Enjoyed 2 great dishes - brined chicken and roast pork - from a very interesting menu. Great service - never rushed, nice cocktails as well. Will definitely... More

We really enjoyed our meal here. Locally sourced food, skillfully prepared. One of the best meals i have eaten in a long time. I was not a fan of the "middle" table in the banquette seating, but the food more than made up for my initial qualms.

We had reservations for 6 pm. We got there 10-15 min early - I would have waited for "our" table. BUT - they wanted to seat us in the back, right next to the kitchen and I mean virtually less than 2 feet from the window where the servers were getting their orders from the kitchen. The plates from the... More

The food here is pricey, no doubt. But they are using locally sourced whole ingredients. Are food was delicious. We had the fantastic cheese tray to start, and one of us had delicious gnocchi. I will say, my salmon dish was paired with some kind of pickled greens - interesting pairing, but the pickled greens really overpowered the flavor of... More

This was the second time to eat at the Zynodoa for one of us. This visit was again a delight - excellent fare and excellent staff. Our server was top-notch! Pricey, but not for the fresh farm to table fare. A must when in Staunton.

We wanted to go somewhere special for my birthday so my husband heard some good things from his business associate about Zynodoa and we made reservations. It is a very attractive place to eat and impressive......also quite contemporary which I like sometimes. There were 2 things we would say WOW to--------the outrageous bill for the food and the cabbage dish.... More

We had an awful experience at another Staunton eatery (Ava's) and ended up leaving there with empty bellies. At that point, I simply googled best restaurant's in Staunton and Zynodoa came up first on the list. We headed there and were extremely happy that we did. The staff was courteous and professional and our meals were excellent, from appetizer to... More
