Satunton has Locavore down to a SCIENCE!!!!

We ADORED our first visit to Zynoda in Staunton. The waiter was HIGHLY knowledgeable of the food & wine offerings. We had made reservation for dinner before the theater on a Saturday night in May way in advance and were a little disappointed to be seated at the back wall next to the pick up window. But our server, Bill, saved the day by being attentive and charming – so we decided to make the best of it – AND... More

The menu is seasonal and ever changing, but if you ever get the chance to try the NY strip please do so. It was the best steak I have ever eaten and well worth the price. It is pricey, but the wait staff is terrific and the food and drinks are trendy and delicious.

My expectation were certainly high on this one. Great Trip Advisor reviews as well as a few word of mouth suggestions. The wait staff was VERY good.... at sales. When we ordered dinner the waitress asked my wife about a Cesar salad. The wife unassumingly went along with her and ordered, she then asked if we wanted bread before dinner... More

Fried oysters were soggy after a few minutes. Fries were well done, but side of grits was bland. Perhaps the entrees are better; pre theatre crowd filled the restaraunt. Make a reservation if you need a table; otherwise, be prepared for awkward dismissal from hostess to the bar.

Just a short walk from the American Shakespeare Center- the food was very good as was the service. Being from New York, I thought there was a mistake when I received the bill. Pleasant atmosphere, well worth the visit.

This restaurant was recommended by someone at the hotel. Ambiance was very comfortable yet stylish. The chefs tasting was recommended with wine pairing. Loved it! The food was very different, home grown and the desert was to die for. A chocolate pot de creme with a 10 year tawny port. Perfect!

My husband ordered the steak and was in heaven. It was a thick cut and prepared exactly as he ordered. On the other hand, my dinner was a total disappointment. I ordered the risotta with shrimp and both the risotto and shrimp were totally tasteless. I also ordered cornbread scones to go with my dinner and had to ask the... More

It was a scrumptious meal. I had the scallops, they were perfect, melt in your mouth. Lovely place and great service . I was wowed.

Where to start. On a scale of 1 - 10 for the atmosphere I'd say 7. On the same scale the service is a 7. All the servers I've had are polite and friendly. As far as taste, creativity, and plating, they are as follows: Taste, 10 . Each appetizer and entree I've tasted have been delicious. Creativity, 9. Whoever... More
