First visit to Log Cabin

The food was excellent and the service fantastic. Our server was charming, I didn't get her name but loved her tips on the menu and her charming accent (boston I think). You would not know it from the "outward" appearance of the restaurant but very charming and warm - fireplace was roaring.

I had steak and shrimp that was absolutely fantastic served by Cindy (from the "bah") and Megan. The atmosphere, wine, service, and food was fantastic! Ya gotta try it. I live 5 minutes away and just discovered the gem. Learn about the history too and you will come back for life! Well worth it!!

Filet Mignon and Shrimp dinner was delicious. Asked for my filet well done, and had to send it back as it was red in the center. They got it right the second time and it was tender and very lean. Love the little Cajun potatoes! Ice tea was great and crusty bread was tasty. The apple cider salad dressing is... More

....we both had crab cake dinners....and they were good....all crab and no fillers. I had a broccoli and cheese side which was excellent. Salad bar a bit sparse. Wine/beer selections a bit lacking....but can probably find something suitable. Service was good and very attentive. Atmosphere is really log cabin and a bit kitchy. Prices a bit expensive for the location.... More

Our party of twelve were well received and we received excellent service all evening. The food is absolutely fantastic whether it's fish or meat. However the crab cakes should be compulsory as they are particularly tasty. Lol forward to returning next year.

The Log Cabin combines a comfortable atmosphere, a friendly staff with an upscale dining selection. The food is fantastic and the service is excellent. Prices are a little high for a place that's 45 miles south of DC but it's worth it.

We have been about three times to the Log Cabin since moving to VA and absolutely cannot say enough wonderful things! The owner takes the time to visit each table and honestly remembers you. Food is delicious and regardless if you choose surf or turf, you will be amazed. The steaks are cooked to order and are very tender. My... More

Food and service, atmosphere and service were excellent. It is a little pricey, for what you would typically find in the area. I had the Lobster Special and a couple of drinks at 35+ and the guy I was traveling with had the Seafood combo with about the same cost. Both dishes were excellent and filled us both, like I... Visited for the first time with friends a couple of weeks ago. The food, setting, and service were dynamite. We had steaks and seafood and all of it was cooked to perfection. Place is a little small, so I'd recommend checking on reservation to ensure you get a seat, but otherwise it was easily the best steak I've had in... More
