Good lunch spot, tempting desserts

Our first time in Smithfield....we were doing our own walking tour downtown and stopped in for lunch. Partner had the Piggly Sticks appetizer for her meal -- to much grease for a meal so not the best choice for a mall bite. I had to cheeseburger , topped with pimento cheese and ham salad... read more

Wait staff and food were terrific. My favorite restaurant in Smithfield, that I'll definitely return to the next time I'm there.

We had invited our cousins from Gloucester Va. to Smithfield for the night and decided to eat breakfast out. We selected a great breakfast place on Main Street. We sat next to the front windows so we could watch downtown happenings. There are five areas to eat, the dining area, room with pastries and check-out counter, coffee room, outside seats... More

Do I start with the awesome staff who made sure we felt welcome? With the decor and local artwork that gave a small town, yet classy feel? Or with the Pulled pork wrap that was a delight to my tastebuds? In any case, I was thoroughly pleased with my stop there Feb 2015 for lunch. I have visited their bakery... More

My sister and I enjoyed a tasty and ample lunch with a friendly server and delightful front window views overlooking Main St. and the wall mural on the side of a building across the way. The sandwich I ordered was heaped with fresh ingredients in a delicious combination of turkey, avocado, and cucumber; my sister enjoyed soup and a sandwich... More

My wife and I have eaten at the Bakery often for breakfast (yummy!) And sometimes for Sunday lunch, but we visited recently to take in a dinner with friends. What an outstanding surprise! We were told later that the Bakery has a new chef and this made the difference between a nice meal and a great one. I had the... More

There is nothing you will order from the bakery that you won't enjoy. The pies and cakes look amazing. The sandwiches are generous and tasty on homemade bread (take some home!). The muffins are dense and moist. The chicken salad is nom nom nom delicious! They are a little pricey. But if you remember it's a small tourist town and... More

Quaint cafe and bakery in historic Smithfield. I had the signature hamburger topped with pimento cheese and ham salad. Wow, it was a delight. I've never had anything like it. Order the chips, they are hand made and lovely. Great service, art filled decor, home baked bread and baked goods and fabulous deserts!
