This place changed hands 10/1/2014 according to the waitress. It has been around for a long time and I'd been there a couple of times in the past and found it fine. Since that time it has expanded and has become more of a sports bar. It is tidy and immaculately clean. Menu is extensive. I ordered the Pizza Hero,... More

I really had a taste for pizza and wanted to try someplace new for me. The filling flavor was good, but the crust was so thin and crispy, it resembled a dry cracker. I had never seen a pizza crust so extremely thin. It actually broke apart and only the cheese held it together. The waitress messed up our wine... More

Having a three year old limits outings somewhat so it's been a few months since we've visited. Heard that Jim has sold but hoped for the best. Ordered our usual and the flavor was there but Jim's crust was gone! Our pie although tasty was kind of doughy (soggy if doughy is not a real word). Server was polite, place... More

I have been gluten free going on almost 10 years! When traveling I always love to find places that offer gluten free pizzas. I have had my fare share over the years and Pizza Pasta Pit's pizza is hands down the best gluten free pizza I have ever had! No soggy crust here. Crispy and perfection! If you aren't in... More

Very self righteous owners, specifically the woman. Love love love their food and used to go in there when I worked right down the straight. Barely ever got a smile from her and received many eye rolls for things like asking if I could purchase a drink. Well, she had already printed off my receipt so me adding a drink... More

Food is done well, typical sit down mid range Italian food. That's really not the issue here. Have heard the male owner/manager go berserk on a female waitress at least once, and the female owner/manager is completely devoid of any personality or appreciation for someone coming into this establishment and spending their hard earned money. Myself along with friends have... More

So thrilled to find gluten free pizza and owners that care about food safety. It is rare to find a restaurant that goes to great lengths to ensure that diners are getting what they pay for, the owners of this restaurant came to my table to talk to me about the gluten free pizza and explain how it was made.... Actually, I am not sure that anyone else in Roanoke Valley cooks their pizzas like Pizza Pasta Pit. Calzones are huge - enough for another meal. They use fresh mozzarella. Serveres are attentive but not overwhelming.

Enjoyed a local brew and good pizza. Don't be put off by the outside, and definitely try the porch - even in February.

The pizza was pretty good, and I loved the lunch special of 5 bucks for a 10" pizza. The steak sandwich we got was very good. Now it needs to be easier to get to..
