Great food and service

Lunch is great, diverse menu, great personable service. For dinner you had better make a reservation. We have never been able to get a table if we just walk in. Extensive wine list

My boyfriend challenged me to find him a decent martini in Salem. Ha! I found the place. Plus, the food was excellent. We had soup, a salad and two small plates. All of them were very tasty and had originality. Service was excellent too. My boyfriend is a foody from Los Angeles (I tease him about his "silver spoon"). He... More

While traveling on the Blue Ridge Pkwy. we made a timely stop in Roanoke/ Salem VA. The Blue Apron offers an ever-changing menu. Everything we tasted was superb. They offer smaller portions and prices so you can taste multiple entrees. We recommend this option. Cocktails were made with premium alcohol and you can taste the difference. Save room for dessert... My coworker and I ate here last night. I had crab cakes and she had the duck breast. We were both pleased with our meals. The best part for me was the chocolate cake and homemade ice cream. It was great. My coworker enjoyed the blackberry cobbler. Good meal and nice environment.

We were passing through Salem and we stopped at the Blue Apron Restaurant for dinner. It was a truly lovely experience! The staff was very nice and knowledgable but not intrusive and the food was exquisite! Even the butter for the pre-meal bread was fantastic. My mother and I split a small dish of scallops for an appetizer that were... More

Love the small plate menu so you can try several different dishes. the salads are unique and flavorful with farm to table elements. of course crab cake, steak always good, sauces are superb and a lovely presentation, too. Very reasonable wine prices also. a good lunch spot as well...take your picky friends and clients here.. down to earth servers round... More

I've had the fortune to eat here twice now. Beautiful decor, great service and delicious food. The menu is limited but very interesting and I love that you can order a small, mediuim or large portion. However if you order tea, beware... while it has a great flavor, it's not your typical southern tea. Enjoy!

Sorry I can't remember our meals as it was about a year ago that we visited this restaurant. We brought an infant with us and although it was rather upscale, the staff was friendly and accommodating. SERvice was wonderful and I know we all enjoyed our meals tremendously. We didn't realize that they close between lunch and dinner so we... More

On St Paddy's Day, the restaurant the hotel recommended was overflowing and the Blue Apron just happened to be up the block. It was empty and I almost passed on it, but I was hungry and didn't want to look any further. Neat, clean and tidy - nicely appointed but unexceptional décor. Service was perfect - timely, to the point... More

Five stars to Chef Scott Switzer, who prepares wonderfully delicious offerings. Small plates (plenty of food for me!) are a welcome option. The decor, compliments of Scott's talented bride, is an open, clean and very attractive marriage of the traditional building structure with more contemporary appointments. The only problem? Noise level. I find myself craning to understand conversations and shouting... More
