A little crowded, but terrific service and delicious food. We were there on a busy night, but a great waitress found us a table in a corner and looked after us like we were adorable puppies she was fostering. The food was yumy and her service was exemplary. We';; be bacl!

We were shocked at the expertise coming out of this kitchen. This little place in the grandin neighborhood of Roanoke was so good. I had the pork schnitzel with braised cabbage, mashed potatoes, and bacon mushroom gravy. The bacon was country bacon. My husband had a special of branzino with asparagus, mushrooms and a polenta cake that I would come back... More

Had a chance to have Sunday brunch here with my wife, daughter and her husband. The restaurant was about half full when we arrived but,it filled up during our visit. The wait staff was slow in getting our order and the food was slow in coming. I had the eggs Benedict which was great. My wife had an omelette which... More

Rockfish is another of our local favorites. The food is always good as is the wine list. The addition of a mixed drink license has added to the charm. Although Rockfish draws from all around the valley. I think that they still have live music on Sunday evenings. Oh, yeah, good brunch, too.

Rockfish reflects the special charm of Grandin Village and the Raleigh Court section of Roanoke. Rockfish is not the only good neighborhood restaurant in the Village. It is the type and quality of restaurant that you expect to find in a major city or a trendy tourist town. SURPRISE - you are in Roanoke (a real place). Rockfish is small,... More

My wife and I have eaten at some of the finest restaurants the world over . . . Paris, Barcelona, Munich, New York, San Francisco. This little place in Grandin Village, Roanoke, Virginia . . . is fine indeed. World Class cuisine, great wine selection, nice décor, every table a good one, good service . . . what more could... We stopped for a light dinner. The menu had many interesting items. We decided on the Low-country Crab Cakes and the cheese platter. Both were prepared well. The staff was friendly and helpful. The deco was in keeping with other shops in the Grandin Village. We will stop here again

We stopped at this place on a whim last evening for dinner and were impressed with the entire package. It was "Soul Food" night (Thursday) and we had blackened catfish, black eyed peas, corn bread and succotash. The service, with only two servers who also staffed the bar, was excellent and attentive. We loved the quaint neighborhood atmosphere in the... More

This restaurant is located in the Grandin Village shopping area of Roanoke City, an old established neighborhood with lots of small shops, restaurants, a fresh market and a nice theater. It is very safe and a nice area to stroll through. The restaurant is about 1/2 way on the Grandin Road shopping area. It is nicely decorated and has a... More
