Very Nice - Not Spectacular

The food was quite tasty (my friend Raved about the duck special). Nice warm bread, and a small/adequate/predictable salad. My black bean dish was good but I would have a salad and appetizer if I were to return. A nice wine list. The management apparently didn't think that shoveling snow from... read more

It's above average in every way: service, food, etc. But nothing special when compared to other restaurants in Roanoke and Grandin Village.

We chose Rockfish based on Tripadvisor recommendations and we're so glad we did as everything was awesome -- the mussels starter, beet salad, trout, and chicken-fried oysters. Well done Rockfish!

Did not have reservations, walked in after a movie, appeared to be nearly a full house but was seated immediately. Fast service, excellent food even though I have some food allergies. Everything was cooked to my specific specifications and was wonderful. Will return soon.

What a great experience! Robert, our server, was very knowledgeable with wine choices and with our dinner choices. The crab cakes, shrimp and salmon were all excellent choices. The chocolate cake, key lime pie and bread pudding were all excellent. I would highly recommend this place and look forward to coming back.

have had dinner there 4 times in last 2 months. Great atmosphere, outstanding staff, dishes well prepared and presented. Interesting specials and combinations. Usually we are with other couples with nary a disappointment. this is a restaurant that i would always feel comfortable in introducing someone new to the area to.

A little crowded, but terrific service and delicious food. We were there on a busy night, but a great waitress found us a table in a corner and looked after us like we were adorable puppies she was fostering. The food was yumy and her service was exemplary. We';; be bacl!

We were shocked at the expertise coming out of this kitchen. This little place in the grandin neighborhood of Roanoke was so good. I had the pork schnitzel with braised cabbage, mashed potatoes, and bacon mushroom gravy. The bacon was country bacon. My husband had a special of branzino with asparagus, mushrooms and a polenta cake that I would come back... More

Had a chance to have Sunday brunch here with my wife, daughter and her husband. The restaurant was about half full when we arrived but,it filled up during our visit. The wait staff was slow in getting our order and the food was slow in coming. I had the eggs Benedict which was great. My wife had an omelette which... More

Rockfish is another of our local favorites. The food is always good as is the wine list. The addition of a mixed drink license has added to the charm. Although Rockfish draws from all around the valley. I think that they still have live music on Sunday evenings. Oh, yeah, good brunch, too.
