Enjoyed a great margarita and chips here and the city square location in Roanoke, The service was good. Our meals were also good. Have to agree that the white sauce served with the chips is weird. It was a little quiet in the restaurant which I am always suspect of. However it was July 3rd and things were pretty quiet... More

This is for the Rancho Viejo at the corner of W. Main St and W 4th St in Salem, VA. We were specifically looking for a Mexican restaurant and found this place. It's fairly small on the inside but there was an outdoor terrace that could accommodate more people. The service staff was very good, and service was prompt and... More

The salsa tastes like marinara sauce. Seriously? Ewh. The white sauce they give you - also nasty. Our waiter said nobody likes it. Why keep serving it? It tasted like watery ranch dressing. The ground meat in my enchilada was so gross I couldn't eat it. The first bite was a chunk of gristle. I ordered a jumbo margarita. It... More

Family outing for Mexican food, my wife enjoys Mexican food very much, and her mother and her brother recommended this restaurant very highly, we all enjoyed our meals very much. If you are into Mexican food I would recommend this restaurant.

This is for the Rancho Viejo on Route 220/Roanoke Road near Cloverdale, VA, exit 150B from I-81: Stopped in here on an interstate trip south. This restaurant is all of 100 yards from the highway, very easy in and easy out. We had no trouble getting a table at 6:00 on a Friday night, seated immediately. And the place filled... More

This restaurant was just average, and barley so. Its what you would see at your typical Mexican restaurant. The one exception is the salsa bar, which is complimentary and delicious. I would have given this a higher rating if on of my dining companion's food hadn't come out cold. The staff was very helpful and very apologetic, but it was... More

Tried their lunch buffet at the Salem location for the first time. WOW, it was a feast. So many items to choose from and everything I ate was delicious.

We eat at Rancho Viejo frequently, and the rating would be higher if it did anything other than give you exactly what you expect in local Mexican cuisine. It's by far our favorite Roanoke Mexican restaurant; everything is "good", if not very good, and the prices are easy on the budget. Be careful if it's your birthday. For some reason... More

We walked to this restaurant from our motel. Very nice decor, we were greeted and brought drinks immediately. Our server Alex (#4) was very attentive and always there when you needed him. We ordered fish tacos and cancun fajitas and both were very good. We would recommend this location.
