I've been going to this location for several years. Longer than I'd like to admit. But our last visit was like most. We had a friendly waiter/waitress and our food was very good. We've never had a bad experience at Macado's. While most places are making their sandwiches smaller these days and raising their prices, theirs have remained the same.... More

The friendly atmosphere and large menu are comforting. Love their Yankee Doodle sandwich with ranch on the side. Great value and good service.

This restaurant, although not easily found in a small mall like structure, was definitely worth the effort to find it. The first meal we got was soup and sandwiches, and they were enormous portions and great prices. Because of the deals, I suggested it to other vendors at our convention, and they went the next day. The next night we... More

Go to the Salem Macados at least a couple times a week. Staff and food are always excellent and consistent. Outside patio area should be non-smoking as nonsmokers enjoy sitting outside too and the smokers out there are sometimes pretty careless and throw their butts on the ground or in the fountain which looks and smells bad. I love this... More

This is a local favorite for it's excellent food and drinks, and karaoke! The cooks at this place really know what they're doing!

I always have the same sandwich; have been to four different chains. The sandwich is always very good, and the food in general is a good value. We had a weeknight dinner here and our food came out at separate times, which was a little weird. But our server made it up to us, so that was nice. It smelled... More

It's cheap, it's tasty, and it's a fun hangout. I prefer the Grand Pavilion location over the Downtown one though. The downtown one seems to be a ghost town these days other than the bar. Still, the food is the same and it's reasonable.

With the feel of a Friday's and a sandwich menu that reads like a novel (huge), if you love your sandwiches than this is your place. My wife and I sway towards vegetarian so we found it a bit overwhelming to find something on their menu that was vegetarian friendly. My wife's grilled portobello mushroom sandwich was very good, she... More

A homey, casual sort of place that welcomes you in with a smile and fun Roanoke history wherever you turn. Great service and even better food. Large portions for the price but it was so good, it was hard to save any for leftovers later. For regulars, look into the rewards card program that will earn you free food and... More

If you're looking for all-American food in large portions and at a reasonable price, this is the perfect option. It's great for families as the decor is very casual and playful. We barely placed our appetizer order before our tasty mushroom and cheese quesadillas arrived. They split our two entrees for us: chicken cashew salad and a parmesan chicken wrap... More
