Great outdoor seating area with upbeat, almost sporty vibe. Friendly service and varied menu. Very unique local restaurant. Everyone in my group liked what they ordered and we all tried very different things.

My husband, 14 and 11 year old kids and I were in town for 1 evening. An old college friend who lived in Roanoke recommended "Fork in the Alley" for some local flavor that was near our hotel. We didn't have any expectations, but were thrilled. We had 3 burgers & a pizza. All were delicious. My husband also enjoyed... More

My husband and I go often for lunch. The atmosphere is great. Outside seating, which we love! Food is great. I absolutely love the broritto. The pork bbq in it is some of the best around. The pizzas are wonderful as well.

Fun little bistro. Mostly outdoor seating. The pizza is creative and delicious. Non smoking. Service is good and the atmosphere is a nice little quaint Alley.

My coworkers and I are in town for and decided on a whim to try a local eatery. We found the restaurant tucked away quite literally in an alley without the negative hole in the wall imagery. It has a decent size outdoor patio, which we took advantage of since the weather was great (80 degrees)! I ordered the Mesa... More

Tasty and reasonably priced food. Service a little slow and confusing. During warmer weather lots of outside space.

My husband and I stopped by for date night. No clue what to expect. We told the server we had never been before and she offered no suggestions, no descriptions of the food, nothing. When I asked questions she answered very shortly. Luckily the food made up for the poor service. We ordered an appetizer of bread and was brought... More

As a former Roanoke resident, Fork in the Alley is still my favorite place to eat when visiting the city. The oven-fired pizzas are the best and the SoRo is my favorite (ricotta cheese, pesto, sundried tomatoes, baby spinach and black olives). Their sandwiches and burgers are great as well. Be sure to unwind with a drink at the bar... More

In an alley is true. Not easy to find but the food was worth the trouble. Excellent food. Fair price and good service. We had the Mediterranean salad and chili. Their three fork chili was excellent. The thing that grossed us out was the cook with disgusting, greasy, gross, unclean dreadlocks preparing our food. What ever happened to hair nets?... More
