Great service, beautiful surroundings, food ok

We had a nice dinner here this weekend. We had reservations and were seated promptly, served quickly but the good was just average. I ordered the shrimp creole which was ok but not special. Two members of the party ordered BBQ platters which included chicken which just had BBQ sauce added. It... read more

There seem to be a lot of mixed reviews on this place. We went on a Wednesday night. I didn't expect live music since it wasn't the weekend. The band was very good. We sat near the back and received very prompt service. There is a very good selection of beer and a menu to please just about everybody. My... More

The good thing is....a good variety of Micro brews on tap. Food was good but somewhat overpriced. Service was fine. Bar area has limited seating. It seemed like alot of people were talking VERY loud to be heard which was a distraction. Although a large number of microbrews the selection was unbalanced ie 1 amber, 1 brown, 2 IPA, 10-12... My husband and I visited this restaurant after the Roanoke holiday parade. It came recommended by our friends so we were really looking forward to this dinner. We were greeted by our waitress who seemed less than excited to be working that evening. She offered little information on drink options and just stood there waiting for us to make up... More

We had a family dinner here with two small children and the waitress was great with them, even when they spilt things and kept blowing out the candles. She was really friendly and willing to acomodate all our requests. The food was good but not amazing. Pity also there was no music but it was a Monday night.

The one thing they are still ding right? 40+ taps -- some local craft -- others from around the world. However, the food has gone downhill in recent months. (i.e. undercooked scallops, sauces that change every time you visit) But the thing that really is hard to like is the fact that the bar seating is almost non-existent and no... More

They have 2 sitting times, one at 6 with no music and 0ne at 8 with music. We took an 8:00 hoping to hear music. They did not tell us music did not start till 9:30 and where we we at ( in back upstairs) we would be lucky to hear music. Also $11 for a scallop app that only... More

This is my favorite place to eat when I come to Roanoke, VA. The food is Excellent, with a Cajun flair. the music is always good, with a mix of jazz and blues. This is a great place to take a date.

The wife and I decided to try this place for our anniversary. The menu was heavily tilted to New Orleans style food. I ordered a house salad with the chipotle ranch dressing...it provided a nice zing to the fresh greens. My entrée was shrimp creole with grits. The grits were smooth and creamy; the shrimp was plump and tasty. There... More

This was lunch and the special was a steak quesadilla for $10. I ordered it and the other 5 at the table ordered off the menu. Big mistake....for me. The quesadilla looked good upon arrival but a couple of bites changed all that. There was very little "steak" and what there was of it, was dry. Came with Cajun fries... More
