I wanted to rate Taaza and all these other places, but I don't have the time to write reviews or try to remember when I was last there.

Saturday is suppose to be the day when the lunch buffet is elevated to a higher level, but sadly that is no longer the case. The web site promises a Lamb or Seafood special but they had neither. Just 3 chicken dishes, although the Biryani was mostly just rice. It also promises three deserts. They actually had just one. I... More

The restaurant is very clean and is set up for semi formal dining (according to place setting). They even have cloth napkins, which you rarely see anymore. There was a wonderful variety of authentic cuisine at the lunch buffet. Everything was extremely fresh and well prepared. There were many tasty vegetarian options (as is traditional) but the chicken dishes were... More

I often fly to Roanoke from my home in the Northeast to visit my mother, who lives in a continuing care facility in town. I was sitting next to an Indian woman in the airplane, and we started chatting about Roanoke. Don't you know that soon enough we discovered that we BOTH planned a visit to Taaza as soon as... More

If you love Indian food, this is the place to go to! Great service, waiters attentive but not hovering, the prices are very good and the amount of food you receive you can take a doggie bag home. Yum, my favorite palak paneer, garlic naan bread, chicken curry and chicken tandoori to name a few. No complaints, a variety of... More

On a recent trip to Roanoke my wife and I stopped here for lunch. We expected a usual oriental-type buffet. Instead, we walked into a very nicely decorated restaurant, table cloths napkins the likes of which one rarely sees anymore in ANY restaurant. The buffet was excellent quality and the staff very attentive. We will keep Taaza on our go-to... More

the food is tasty, service is good.but you should add some more chicken varieties for the buffet. I am not coming here to eat egg masala, dal, tamarind rice, rice pudding etc.I feel they should also have more varieties.they always have chciken tandoori which is bland...why dont you keep varieties like chilli chicken, chicken 65 etc.The food has lot of butter, not spicy which is boring... This is an Indian restaurant on par with most of top Indian restaurants in Washington DC. We celebrated my grand-daughter's graduation (Go Hokies!) and all us loved the experience. My party ordered the Chicken Chettinadu, Lamb Nawabi (they are regulars there so they know what to order) but I took a chance on the Shrimp Vepadu without knowing how it... More

Visited this restaurant on my drive from NY to Dallas. Good food and ambience.. Indian food was good but the service made it better. Dosa platter is great with options which will give you all the different Dosa. types. The floor was a bit cold though and the staff was trying to warm it with room warmers!

I LOVE Indian food and hadn't had any for three months, so finding Taaza was a welcome relief. My husband and I had the samosas as an appetizer -- generous portions, good filling and non-greasy. We then ordered enough food to feed an army (and take home as left-overs to snack on the next day). We had the Bagara Baigan... More
