We love going to eat all the beautifully prepared Indian dishes on the lunch buffet in this centrally located downtown restaurant. The establishment stands out for the wonderful spices they use and excellent, attentive service. If they make Saag Paneer a regular dish on the buffet daily; this would be a perfect frequent destination and choice for India cuisine for... More

We have dined here twice lately, once for lunch and once for dinner. Both times we found the interior of the restaurant looking a bit tired, and we found the food uninspired. The food seemed more like cafeteria style and less like restaurant style. When we are looking for tasty Indian food, we go to Taaza.

I went there with friends, for Dinner-to go. It was a Christmas night and most of the American restuarants were closed. The food was decent. The ambience of the restaurant looked good. Service is mediocre. We ordered four dishes and we received the order after 40 mins - may be it was a busy night.

I've been many times, but mostly several years ago before Taaza opened. The food is okay, but nothing special: typical Indian buffet for lunch and decent food for dinner. Service is mediocre. I went earlier this year, first time in about two years, and they have redecorated in colors that make eating very unpleasant. The walls are now bright yellow... More

I love Indian food even more after coming to this restaurant. The sleek decor, the delicious food, and the outstanding service make this restaurant a must if you're in downtown Roanoke. Our waiter even hooked us up with a free dessert and it was probably the best dish we tried all night. This is an experience that you don't want... More

Finally my search of Indian food in states after three months took me here in Roanoke. Nawab is located in downtown Roanoke. I had buffet lunch which satisfied my desi taste buds with tandoori roti, chicken, lassi (sweet drink made out of curd), pickle, & varied curries. I liked chilly chicken the most but at the pther hand tandoori chicken... More

After a very long day driving the Blue Ridge Parkway we dropped our bags at the hotel and started looking for food. A search found Nawab in the heart of a lively restaurant area in Roanoke. The food was absolutely delicious, with exactly the requested amount of heat. I loved the Akbari naan with cocoanut and cherries. The biryani was... More

Great, modern environment in the heart of downtown, with friendly service. But, best of all, the food is delicious! Lunch offers a buffet with fresh, authentic Indian food. Dinner offers something from their menu. Everything is wonderful and the service is great!

After a long trek through the Blue Ridge, we came to this restaurant and were not disappointed. Saag paneer and the chicken biryani were seasoned just right with a hint of hot spices" just enough. The bread was fabulous, especially the bread with the coconut in it. Very yummy. The service was attentive and with a smile. These people like... More
