Good food and fun location.

While visiting for the weekend I took my 'rents out here for dinner and had a nice time. The restaurant is located just off the Market Square so it is a busy area for Roanoke and we were seated by the window so we got to "people watch." We all got different dishes and shared and enjoyed each of... read more

This restaurant is in downtown Roanoke, and is easily accessible by car or foot. The food is great. I ordered the Goat Dhanshak, which is a spicy goat stew served over jasmin rice. I also ordered the garlic naan bread and raita, a condiment made with yogurt, mint, and spices. Everything was great. Other people were eating the chicken tikka,... More

We had never had much experience with Indian food so we decided to give it a try. It was amazing. We had excellent service as well. Will definitely be dining here again asap. A great, fun find for dinner in Roanoke!

I shared dinner with a friend. The vegetable appetizer sampler was a delight. Our entrees were perfectly presented and a joy to eat. Service was excellent and we learned a little of the language from our host.

We had the Sunday buffet and were absolutely blown away. Every single dish -- and my husband tried about every single one -- was excellent, which is surprising for a buffet. I adore Indian cuisine, and yet Nawab's was able to surprise me. The service was excellent, every employee friendly. The food -- simply superb.

We have dined here many times during the last 15 years. When the restaurant first opened the food was absolutely fabulous and authentic. During the last five years the quality has slipped but it is still very good Indian food. They have a good tandoor oven and the breads are usually excellent. Occasionally the dishes are over salted.

We love going to eat all the beautifully prepared Indian dishes on the lunch buffet in this centrally located downtown restaurant. The establishment stands out for the wonderful spices they use and excellent, attentive service. If they make Saag Paneer a regular dish on the buffet daily; this would be a perfect frequent destination and choice for India cuisine for... More

We have dined here twice lately, once for lunch and once for dinner. Both times we found the interior of the restaurant looking a bit tired, and we found the food uninspired. The food seemed more like cafeteria style and less like restaurant style. When we are looking for tasty Indian food, we go to Taaza.

I went there with friends, for Dinner-to go. It was a Christmas night and most of the American restuarants were closed. The food was decent. The ambience of the restaurant looked good. Service is mediocre. We ordered four dishes and we received the order after 40 mins - may be it was a busy night.
