A Roanoke must-experience, this outstanding dining experience includes delicious breakfast and lunch options. The pastries are made in house and eggs and omelettes done to order. Beef tenderloin, salad with lovely greens, soups, the usual breakfast sides and a variety of desserts I've never had room to try. The setting is old world hotel. Have a mimosa or Bloody Mary... We have dined at the Regency Room,Hotel Roanoke several times with satisfactory experience so anticipated the" gala four course dinner" on Valentine's eve.The price of $175 per couple seemed steep but the menu sounded superb. Greeted and seated, served !st course Duck Confit which was a small cracker with a spoonful of greens, next went to section where we waited... More

I'm at the hotel doing a final site visit for a conference I'm planning in April. I couldn't be happier! Planning meeting during dinner was a pleasure. The food was unbelievable. I started with the peanut soup - WOW! I ordered a small filet served with mashed potatoes and cauliflower gratin. I ate every single bite! My colleague ordered carrot... More

During restaurant week we went for the first time. We were greeted and promptly seated. Large room yet it felt comfortable and cozy. The salads were fresh, colorful and tasteful. Our entrees, salmon & chicken dishes were fantastic. One could easily see the attention to details ...from presentation to its flavory sides. We followed up with their tart and pumpkin... More

The lunch buffet is probably the best value and the best way to sample the selection of food available. The heirloom peanut soup is delish. The salad bar is satisfactory, and there were a few meat selections available from brisket, seared mahi mahi (dry) and pulled pork. They had a variety of desserts that were ok. The bread pudding is... More

I treated myself to a dinner at the Regency Dining room while staying at the Hotel Roanoke. The food was excellent, the service was gracious, old-style service, and every staff member i dealt with was pleasant and helpful. I also ate breakfast there each morning (buffet). Again, a bit expensive, but nicely done.

There was a very nice selection of food for the brunch buffet. There is an omelet station for eggs and omelets plus assorted hot foods such as potatoes, bacon, sausage, scrambled eggs, oatmeal, etc. The pastries, breads, and muffins were all very good! The atmosphere is lovely!
