Great subs

We got the Turkey sub and slaw, served hot. Slaw is top notch. Also the salads are good too. Reasonably priced. Cheap prices. Cash only.

I have been eating here since the early 90s. The food just keeps getting better. Reasonable price. Good service.

My husband and I always split "The Submarine" when we visit the New Yorker. It's HUGE! The meats and cheese that they use are very high quality (not like chain Sub restaurants) and they have awesome cole slaw. Service is always good and the food always leaves you craving more the next day! We will return over and over.

The staff have been at this place for years and are just wonderful. I would stack the sandwiches at this restaurant up against the best deli's in New York. Not only are they as good, they are just as big and only half the price.

awful place to depend on. The employees run the place and are of mixed behavior. Drop outs or drop ins. who knows

This has been a personal favorite for my wife and me for over 30 years. Yes, it's like stepping back to the 1970s with the restaurant's dated look and style; however, its authenticity to the deli service it provides is amazingly delicious. The restaurant is best known for its trademark New Yorker sub, a sandwich large enough for two to... More

We stopped here while on vacation. Food was simply amazing - great flavor, good variety, and reasonable prices. Service was less than average, thus the four stars. We wanted dessert, and it was a real chore having to track our server down who was already "finished" with our table. We would give it a second try for sure though because... More

My mother and I just had lunch at the New Yorker, where she had a turkey Ruben and I had a Pastrami and corned beef sandwich. My mother was very happy with her Ruben, especially since it was not offered on the menu; and I could have eaten two more Pastrami and corned beef sandwiches (not because it was small,... More

I often stop by the New Yorker to buy deli by the pound. While the food is good, on my last visit I was disappointed in the service. The gentleman behind the register seemed to be annoyed that he had to wait on me. I'll think twice before I spend my money there again.

One of our favorite deli's in this town. We moved away but are here to visit family and friends. We like the "Submarine" which is very large and can easily feed two people, but when my husband wants a whole "submarine", I order the "torpedo" for myself. Torpedo is a smaller version of the Submarine. Their baked beans are real... More
