We had breakfast here. The options are limited. The food looked better then it was. The staff was very nice and the price was OK, too. I would try it again should I be in the area.

The caprese salad I had today from Breadcraft was amazing. Big, meaty heirloom tomatoes, generous soft mozzarella slices, fresh greens, balsamic dressing and the perfect dash of salt and ground pepper. I may need to get this every day until it's out of season. Yes, it's that good.

Very cute cafe. We got the cinnamon roll and sticky bun and sat by the window. A nice place to relax and chat with friends over coffee.

Only been here once, but everything was so far above anywhere else I've been in the area. They do have a limited menu, lunch-wise, but what they do have is incredible. The pastries and bread are obviously their specialties though, and they're amazing. Definitely recommend the almond croissant. I honestly think this is better than most bakeries, regardless of location.... More

My daughter and I had lunch at this sublime bakery yesterday and were more than satisfied. We had never been there before before but decided to try it because it was so highly recommended; we were not disappointed. It was obvious we had never been there, but the staff were patient and friendly. Virtually everything looked so good on the... More

We were passing through Roanoke on a rainy Friday and stopped here for lunch. We got a table by the window so we could people watch as we ate. My husband chose the Fromage panini, three cheeses with basil and tomato puree. It arrived with a large side salad that was amazingly tasty. I had the Turkey Florentine panini with... More

We decided to make our trip via I-81 instead of I-85 -- and what a treat! We stayed in Roanoke mid way and will be back -- for this bakery!! We had the chorizo egg breakfast, a weekend special of double chocolate french toast ( a teenagers dream!) and a fabulous quiche. All were really good! We also nibbled on... More

We ate here as part of the Roanoke food tour. We sample a baguette and a croissant. They were both delicious. We also got a behind-the-scenes tour, including some information about their massive oven. I only regret that they had sold out pain au chocolat.

Everyone is right! Bread Craft is a small local bakery with excellent pastries. I have only tried the hazelnut scone, almond croissant, Mediterranean olive bread and coffee and they were really good. The coffee was smooth and the pastries were moist and they were reasonably priced. The owner was very friendly and the good news is they will be expanding... More
