My family was looking for dinner in downtown Roanoke. For those that are familiar with the area, here are possibly thirty restaurants in a two block area, but we felt that bbq sounded good so we have this place a try. It's located in the southwestern corner of the square and has outdoor seating during the warmer months. Their pulled... More

If you're in the mood for BBQ and you're in Roanoke, you can't go wrong with a trip to BBQ on the Market downtown. Their pulled pork is very good. their beef brisket may be even better. Hush puppies are served with a small side of peach butter. Greens = excellent. Beans = yummy and just a touch spicy! Small,... More

I visited Blue's BBQ on a Sunday around lunchtime and had a great experience. Our waitress was very friendly and the food came out piping hot. I would recommend trying the fries and the Mac and cheese bites, as both were delicious. My boyfriend was a big fan of their fried pickles. The restaurant has a bar like atmosphere and... More

We were told there would be a 15-20 minute wait. After waiting about 20 minutes, we were told it would be another 45 minutes. The second hostess told us (paraphrising here) we should find somewhere else to go. So we did. And we won't be back.

BBQ is tough. People have very individualistic tastes for BBQ and it's difficult to make BBQ that everyone likes but Blue's does a good job. We stopped in for beers and ended up having a great lunch. Good service, good food and a cool downtown spot. I'll go back.

This place has a really cool vibe. Located in the City Market section it is close to parking and other city attractions. The patrons and staff were all cool and friendly, it's a fun place to hang out. The food was good, nothing spectacular to us but it wasn't bad either. There are lots of other restaurants we'd like to... More

Decided to stop in and give it a try and I'm so glad we did. I got the smoked chicken wrap with a side of fries and they were by far the best fries I've had in Roanoke. The prices are reasonable and you get plenty to eat. The staff is also super great and our waitress was very attentive,... More

I love Blues, the pulled pork, the hushpuppies with peach butter and my oh my the french fries. Absolutely my favorite choice for BBQ. I'm sure everything on the menu is good, but when I go I have to have my favorites.
