I was used to fresh greens and tasty salads. Today's greens were obviously turning brown, and the taste of the balsamic vinegar was not well balanced, nor was it intense enough to want me to eat the whole dish. The only enhancing part was the garlic in oil that I asked for. My husband had pene in arrabiata sauce. The... More

Wow. Great food. Forever to get it. I was third in line at the counter. Only three dishes for the guy to prepare before my four dishes. Took close to 30 minutes. Bad, Vapiano. Really bad.

They need to fix the a/c problem before I come back... I have been there multiple times during the summer and it seems to be déjà vu.

Excellent restaurant for big groups and you want to pay for your own tab/bill. Each guest is given a credit card which tracks all the food and drinks that you order. Food is arranged in different stations. The first station is the antipasti and insalate (appetizer and salad). The next 2 or 3 stations are pasta. The last station is... More

seems it is set up to avoid paying waiters. Get to stand in a queue for ages instead of talking with friends. The good better be good (still standing in the queue)

I visited Vapiano's for a colleague's Going Away Lunch. I like the modern urban feel. I LOVE the color scheme - the red is such a beautiful contrast to the live green basil plants around the place. My food was good -- I will 'build my own dish' even better next time.

Very different concept, hard to order with different stations. Expensive, very rustic atmosphere, and slow service.

VaPiano has the freshest and most tasty pasta served in a restaurant. Moreover, the very savory preparation of a variety of pasta sauces with fresh ingredients makes this restaurant chain a real pleasure. Because of the popularity of the restaurant, the wait to order the food can be long at times.

I ate here on a recent trip to Reston, and I loved it! The concept is really cool. You walk in, and the hostess gives you a card, which is basically your tab. You can go to the various stations to choose your food and swipe the card at the card reader at that station, thus adding value to the... More

Had a late lunch with a friend at Vapiano on President's Day. We were looking for a quiet place where we could sit for awhile and catch up. The charming Vapiano dining room fit the bill. And, no table wait staff meant that we could sit as long as we wanted without feeling like we were imposing. We each ordered... More
