Good food and nice ambiance

Food was good, the menu was inventive but a bit pricey. The service was very attentive, I had the slider trio, very good!

Horrible travels last week, weather, delays, etc. Rolled in late week starving about 30 minutes before closing. Checked in to Westin and was upgraded on the room-good sign so I rushed in to the house eatery praying the kitchen was still open. I was lucky but starving and wanted something quick, especially with the kitchen closing any minute. I confirmed... More

We were staying in the Weston and tried this place for dinner one evening. Generally we avoid restaurants in chain hotels but Vinifera had won an award for having the best food in last years Taste of Reston, an event we have attended in other years. We found the dining experience here to be very good. An extensive and creative... More

Vinifera came highly rated by other reviewers so we decided to give it a try. Immediately I was disappointed it was attached to a hotel but the inside was very nice and the staff helpful. It is definitely pricey even with the adorable 1 bite options. The one bites were delicious. The lobster gnocchi was good but not great. The... More

the restaurant has great atmosphere. but the service is beyond slow. I ordered the vegetarian pasta with vegetables. On the menu it described it being in a creamy Parmesan sauce. There was no Parmesan sauce. It was in a broth, not a creamy sauce. Was very disappointed. Husband had lamb sliders, which he said were good. But he ended up... More

This was my second visit and much better than my first, during restaurant week. We were there on a Sunday afternoon and opened the restaurant at 5 pm, but the bartender sat us quickly. It is after all a wine bar (which is extensive) and bistro. If I were staying at the Westin, I would love to come down and... More

Being at the Westin, and based on their entree prices, one would consider this more of an "expense account" location. Instead, their small plates menu was lovely, interesting and delicious. Dave at the bar was attentive and knowledgable about the menu. The venison was amazing, perfectly cooked and very innovative. The salad with butternut squash and brussel sprouts was complex... More

This was our second trip to Vinifera. We went on a quiet Sunday night and there were only about 4 other occupied tables when we arrived. Once the waiter dropped off our menus and filled our waters, he disappeared. Almost 15 minutes after we decided what we were eating and closed our menus, he still had not come to take... More
