Great Place To Stop For A Quick Meal

For the past two years my family and I have stopped here for breakfast on our way down to Tennessee. We love it! It is a buffet style breakfast. During the time we went in (about 8am) there was only a few others in there. So it was a quick in and out for us. I would recommend it to... read more

This place was once White's Truck Stop before Mr White died, but the legend lives on in the cuisine and hospitality! Their breakfast was very good and creative, and their dinners are greast, too, especially their sundaes!

While driving up from Dallas Texas I stop at various restaurants along the way, but I have to tell you, this place is a gem! I am so glad that i stopped here. The wait staff are all friendly and caring. Placed my order, which I do a BLT the first time in a new to me restaurant, the reason... More

I ordered pasta primavera off the specials. It was not even edible. Sent it back and just ate off the soup and salad bar. Just fair. Waitress was the only good thing about the meal.Cashier had better things to do than her job. Seems since TA truckstops bought all the Petro's they all went down hill.

My food was overcooked. The service was good. Had a little difficulty finding the restaurant at night.

We asked the hotel staff where we should eat and they directed us to the Iron Skillet. At first glance you're a little skeptical, but the food was really good. The buffet looked plentiful and my husband enjoyed the variety. I ordered off the menu and it was excellent. No complaints. The staff was friendly and kept the iced tea... More

We stopped in coming home from the beach. We were hungry, needed to get a fill up on gasoline and get some extra cash as well as a bathroom stop... Surprise to me... We got it all at one stop. The Iron Skillet Truck Stop. They had a great gift shop, very clean restrooms, ATM, and the food was awesome.... More

They have an all you can eat buffet. We ordered off the menu because I wanted breakfast at dinner. Penny was our server and she had a great personality, she felt like a friend I had known all my life. Food was excellent except the creamy gravy it was cold but I was fine with that because I am watching... More

Stop there today on my way to Houston TX and had breakfast. Being a trucker I eat at a lots of TA's Country Pride and Petro Iron Skillet and this was the best I have found in a while the food was fresh and well maintained. One person came out ever few minutes to wipe the bars down and replenish... More

The place is grungy and has an unappetizing salad bar. I asked the waitress for very crisp hashbrowns. They were not! I looked at the order she placed in the kitchen. No mention at all about crisp. The elderly clerk at the check out was about as friendly as a doormat. I'd drive a while to avoid this one.
