When this place first opened it was the place to go. But recently their service has really gone down hill. The night we were there we were meeting another couple and arrived before them. When we told the hostess we had another couple joining us we were told that we couldn't be seated until the other couple got there! I... More

The entree prices can be daunting but I avoided them by ordering a burger that was cooked to perfection. Service was very good. I sat outside by myself and was given a table in the corner that didn't have much of a view. Other tables had great views of Radford and the surrounding area. The beer was good too. If... More

We really like this restaurant. It is a little pricey but we always have a great meal here. It is a few miles outside of town. The restaurant looks over Radford and the New River.

Similar to KA's review, but it wasn't very busy. Our party of 6 was quickly seated, we dined early last weekend. We had a couple visiting from Wash DC and really wanted to impress them as we have heard mixed reviews about The River Company, so we made a 45 min. drive, not sure what to expect. My wife had... I ate at the River Company during a business trip to Radford University (nearby). The entrance to the restaurant looks like a large A-frame, nicely landscaped. The interior is large and very spacious, with a vaulted ceiling. I had a house salad, which was nicely prepared, and a small filet Mignon with two sides (there are several to choose from).... More

While down for VT graduation last weekend I convinced my family to make the drive from Blacksburg (15-20 min) down here. I had only been here for a alumni event with a catered dinner, and couldn't recall if the food was great or not. So I warned them of that, along with the bad service reviews here on TA. It... More

The atmosphere is good (good mountain view) but it stops there. They do NOT treat customers very well. Surly staff, clearly not happy with very strict rules from management and the food is just ok. Will not go back. Being treated poorly for absolutely no reason doesn't make for a fun evening.

This is one of the hidden gems of the New River Valley. They are the ONLY place to get dry aged steaks. They also have an in-house micro-brewery and over 10 different beers to try, all of which are carefully brewed to excellence. Their menu is a bit pricey, but the restaurant is in a newly constructed log and timber... More

I've eaten at this restaurant a few times when visiting my son at Radford U. The food is delicious--I got the salmon this last visit--and if you get a table near the balcony you (sometimes) can watch the sun going down. It's up on the river bluffs so there's a nice view. Also, since they brew their own beer, if... More

A great brewery and great food. Such a beautiful resturant and a great view of the river. The unexpected for the NRV, but so happy to have such a nice place in the neighborhood.
