Usually an outstanding prime rib, but this one fatty and overcooked. Politely sent it back only to receive a near raw piece that was more fat filled than before. I raved about this restaurant constantly, but obviously times and quality are changing. I will never speak highly of magnolias after the chefs response to his lack of quality cooking was... More

We recently had lunch here and it was wonderful. The menu was varied, the prices reasonable and the service was excellent.

Local hotspot in downtown Purcellville. Great food with a wonderful atmosphere sitting at the bar is a favorite but not abad seat on the house. Only thing lacking is live music which has become an important draw in Loudoun with so much musical talent in the area.

I had a large portion of Fish and Chips. It was one of the best I have had with three large pieces of cod. My wife had a interesting and very tasty Breakfast Calzone as part of the Brunch menu. The draft beer selection was great and had the Brooklyn Winter Ale which reminded me of my days in the... More

We had a wonderful meal and what a bar! The beer list was awesome, as were the great martini's. The shrimp appetizer special was great and the fries were amazing.

We met friends for a holiday dinner and had to wait even with our reservation, but it was well worth it. The food and wine were fantastic. There were plenty of vegetarian options for me, and they offer special menus on request (gluten free, etc.). There were Christmas trees big and small tucked in random spots throughout the restaurant, which... More

Stopped in Purcellville to see the local distillery and Magnolia's at the Mill was suggested to us for lunch. The place is gorgeous, with the high ceiling and old mill stuff hanging from the open rafters. I would say that, for a place touting to be accessibly fancy, the food did not disappoint. My husband said the burger was good... More

My husband and I went for a special Sunday brunch, and it was anything but. The waiter (never found out his name) was a bit brusque but was quick to realize that I was unhappy with my first selection, a monte cristo sandwich covered in hollandaise. Actually, soaking in it.Not a good combination. I next selected the nachos, and got... More

We are locals who get here periodically for ladies' luncheons. Stick to the composed salads. The thin crust pizzas are a thing of the past, and the tough replacements nearly got sent back to the kitchen--but we are ladies.

A last minute choice and there were no reservations left, but we were seated in the bar with the same menu. A rustic building that's been attractively converted for eating, it also has an extensive assortment of good craft beer featuring Virginia brews. Calamari appetizer was nicely light on breading and flavorful. The shrimp & grits were just what I... More
