Beautiful setting excellent food

The restaurant located on the 868 Winery grounds is small with indoor and outdoor seating. When we entered it took a few moments for someone to notice us as everyone was busy in the kitchen. I just ate here with my husband -- it was deserted at 7:30 and no one ever showed up. The food was good but when we were leaving, another waitress brought a to go box of my husband's steak which he we specifically said we didn't want because we aren't from nearby. Our waitress scolded the other waitress and said... More

The food was delicious and the scenery was beautiful! We had crab eggs benedict and the mozzarella BLT sandwich. Both were delicious and satisfying! I would recommend a reservation, but if there is a wait then you can visit the winery next door while you wait!

First let me say, you should visit this restaurant, the food is great. We did visit Grandale on a cold winter Friday night. It took us an hour to drive out there and we had to hurry because when we booked a 9 o'clock dinner, they called and said no we close at 9, you need to come by 8:30,... More

Thank you very much for taking the time to let us know about your experience at Grandale. I am glad that you and your wife enjoyed the food so much - we are always delighted when a customer lets us know particular items that they like from our menu. The light fixture you referred to was broken that morning and... More

I do not like to give negative reviews but I was very disappointed with this restaurant. During December, we took a ride out to Purcellville to visit the area where my husband's mother grew up. We looked for a lunch place and came upon this restaurant. There were five of us and when we asked to be seated, the waitress... More

I had a sort of 2-day experience with Grandale Farm. My sister planned her wedding there and we spent the previous day decorating, and broke for lunch. This review will be a quick bit of everything from lunch review to review of overall impressions from wedding. Lunch was pretty good as I recall. I had a burger and soup and... More

We arrived a little later in the evening on a Wednesday evening, and the restaurant was empty except for one other couple. Although it was a little chilly, we decided to opt for privacy and dine on the deck overlooking the beautiful countryside. Our waitress was warm and welcoming, and certainly made us feel welcome considering the limited number of... More

We stopped in late on a Sunday morning for brunch and were delighted to see eggs benedict on the menu. We didn't try any of the wine (from the winery next door) but the food was delicious, and the service was at a comfortable pace. I'd come back if I was in the area.

"My husband and I eat here several times a year and have always found it to be a very pleasant experience but lately this hasn't been the case. In late August we--along with another couple-- dined here and were extremely disappointed with the food, service and atmosphere. We were seated at the outside deck which was completely full that evening... More

I am a local to WV, and was very happy to have this venue available to host an impromptu family gathering. The food was very fresh and well prepared. We found the sides and sauces to be the best parts of the meal, although everything was decent. The citrus beurre blanc sauce was divine, and the crab cakes were delicious.... More
