I met friends here for lunch yesterday. The outdoor dining area looked nice, but we ended up eating inside. The restaurant is cafeteria style, but run very efficiently by a young friendly staff. The barbeque is excellent. I had the pastrami which was some of the best I've ever had, the mac and cheese (smoked gouda), the home made pickles,... More

My wife and I had Mother's Day supper at Monk's. I had the pulled pork, she had the half rack. We both tried the cole slaw, I tried the potato salad. All were excellent. The Texas BBQ place in town, while OK, always has had average to less sides. This place has great sides and, better still, great meats. Service... More

was a great BBQ and replaced with a terrible BBQ that caters to southern cracker mental typos, Their white bread is so white that it makes wonder bread look like pumpernickel, Pictures of old seditionist slave owners on the wall give it a racist air. Expect to see stars and bars flag.

Very nice staff, rugged atmosphere but good food. After getting laid off from my job, I visited for a little deversion. Very nice staff, friendly and made a better day then when I arrived.

Was riding through Purcellville on the way back to Baltimore with 5 friends. We had spent the weekend riding in Va. and WV. Always do my planning with Tripadvisor as far as restaurants on trips. Anyway, the food was outstanding. I ordered the half rack of ribs and they were done perfectly. They offer 6 different homemade BBQ sauces, I... More

The ribs here are some of the best I ever had. Plenty of meat and almost falling off the bone. Large selection of sauces you put on yourself. The smoked fish was also very good but go for the ribs. You might want to ask if they have any of that amazing pumpkin cheesecake. Stuff yourself. You won't regret it.

The place closed down for 3 or 4 months for "renovations" however when it reopened there was nothing new except for a few new menu items. Strange that a restaurant would close for that long - wonder if something else was up. Anyway, the food is just average. The ribs are hit or miss. Sometimes they are above average and... More

Been here a few times and it just keeps getting better. The ribs are great, but the wings might be the best I have ever had, anywhere. Now they are doing seafood and an amazing jerk burrito. The beer selection is one of the best around and has triple karm on tap!!! One of the best beers in the world.... More
