When eating out in and around the Northern VA and DC area I usually read reviews, but not this time! While enjoying a fall day in the country we took a detour and decided to stop in for lunch at what appeared to be a charming historic building in a quiant town. The service started off super slow, but sometimes... More

My wife and I plus an AT Section hiker ate there on a Sunday night . We had Avocado and chips and split a chicken fajita. I had a Coors lite and the hiker had a Mexican draft beer. Service was a little slow but the food was good. We took 2 salads and bean wraps to our vegan daughter... More

This place is overpriced for what you get. The food is just ok, most of it is prepackaged or frozen.

Horrible experience! We came to the restaurant around 7pm. There were some slightly intoxicated people playing cornhole right outside the restaurant, so we opted to sit around the side. we waited around ten minutes for someone to come help us. The menus and drinks came quickly. Drinks, as in canned sodas. They brought some chips out quickly as well, which... More

I asked for 2 ground beef tacos and was charged $14. If you've ever been to any local Mexican joint, two ground beef tacos should run you AT MOST $3-4 TOPS. In comparison the other local Mexican place El Ranchero charges $1.95 per taco. That's more like it. I was charged for a meal I did not order. Service was... More

Great food, organic, fresh freshly made good beer and Jose tries to make it a pleasant place to be. I like the food a lot.

I ordered the black bean soup. In the picture, it looked thick and delicious topped with cheese and sour cream. In reality, it looked and tasted like like warm water with a few canned beans tossed in. I only took a few bites and pushed it aside. The server never asked me how it was, and I paid for it.... A bit cold inside; had to eat lunch with my jacket on. The place certainly has character. Service was very friendly. I had an IPA to drink, and chicken enchiladas for lunch. The enchiladas were very tasty and not over the top, as can be the case in some Mexican places.

the food was pretty good...and i really like the location of this place, but when the three of us had lunch here they didn't really make us feel like they wanted our business. we were the only customers & we kind of felt like we were a bother. oh well.

We arrived for dinner and entered the place which appeared to be clean but nothing special. We were greeted by an older woman who tried to speak english but we couldn't understand her. It was about 93 degrees outside and the inside of this place was only a little cooler. There was obviously some problem with the air conditioning. We... More
