Great Seafood

I am a seafood lover. And since the Lobscouser had the most extensive seafood on the menu, I gave it a try. The seafood is wonderful. Melts in your mouth. I had the seafood platter broiled. Shrimp, scallops and fish were baked to perfection. The salad was good. The wine is reasonable I only wish... read more

I was a little hesitant of our choice when I first walked in as a seafood restaurant like this in Lynchburg would have been slam packed. However, as soon as we got our appetizer, fried calamari, all my fears went away. My wife got the Lobster Gabriel which had perfectly cooked pasta and tasty shrimp and lobster. I got the... More

First of all Skip the waiter was wonderful. He was very personable and was extremely bubbly. Second, the hush puppies holy smokes is all I can say about them. Third, the seafood pasta and the lobster pasta dish was to DIE for. The prices were amazing, the experience amazing, the service was, yep you guessed it AMAZING! A must go... More

I had lunch here, appetizer was the blackened scallops that I'm still craving now. I enjoyed my flounder as well and service was top notch. Wish I had found this earlier in my trip because I would have been back for those scallops!

Made reservations for a group of 16. Staff was very accomodating to us coming late after event at Willette Hall and have only 12 people. Great seafood, quaint atmosphere. I will be back!

Small, quaint, with a subtle atmosphere. You'll surely enjoy your visit. The food is high quality and consistent. Whether dropping in for lunch, business dinner, family gathering or a special date you'll not be disappointed. The owners have been a anchor for the downtown area too many years to count.

Went for lunch with a plan to try some of this restaurant's heralded seafood. Perhaps this is a good choice for dinner, but I should have settled for a sandwich. The fried sea scallop entree consisted of five quarter sized scallops and bland saffron rice. The place itself was dark and musty and the wooden seats were hard and less... More

Can't even give them one star based on the service received; but the system wouldn't let me save. A friend and I went for dinner and decided to have the Early Bird Specials since it was our first time visiting. I had the perfectly round fried scallops; she the crab cakes. When I entered the restaurant both servers were sitting... More

We had a wonderful meal of soup, main meal with 2 sides and dessert. All was delicious. The best it was so inexpensive for what we had. The eggnog cheesecake with caramel sauce was great.

We just happened to come across this little jewel. The restaurant was small but the flavor was huge. They were serving She Crab soup, which was some of the best I have ever had. All of our seafood was cooked perfectly...melt in your mouth delicious!
