Again, we recently visited the stove and of course were not disappointed! I had the shrimp and grits which was amazing! As always, only the freshest, best ingredients are used! The pimento cheese was extra good this night! Don't know why. It it was yummy. And the sea salted goat cheese! And the crackers..... And the bread...... Shall I go... More

You will not be disappointed for finding this place. Chef Syd prepares the most delicious fresh food that has ever crossed your lips. Farm fresh veggies, homemade bread and cheeses, plus his own ham and sausage. Mississppi inspired but a changing menu with mouth watering dishes including vegetarian. He also has bourbon made by his cousin in Richmond that is... More

Hubby and I took a road trip from Moyock, NC to eat at Stove in Portsmouth, VA. We R Soooo glad we did. Atmosphere great(music could be a little lower), and food superb! We ordered from the pre fix PoNo Restaurant Week ( offered every last week of the month) and was not disappointed. He had the crab cake with... More

I had heard about this place from friends and had wanted to go for awhile. my wife and I went finally and the quality and variety on the menu was great. Sidney Meers, the owner/chef has done it again. Nice place for a quiet night out with a date or small groups as it is a little small.

Food was delicious, although overpriced then, toward the end of our meal, something moving on the wall beside me caught my eye... Yep... A cockroach... No, not a water bug... I've lived here my whole life and know the difference... Then a baby one crawled right across the table! My husband and I will never go back. EVER. Not even... More

Yeah, Stove, the restaurant! Very different - the menu was different, offering a cheese plate of 3 out of 12 choices - you pick the ones you want. Came with house relish, house made crackers, and slices of a spicy ham (small & spicy). This restaurant was small, and I only saw one child there -- the menu is not... More

We love the eclectic offerings at this restaurant. The menu has many items that are twists on a regular item that is suprising. The foods are always fresh and flavorful. We usually use a Groupon card when we go to stretch our wallet a little further.

This was one of the worst restaurants I've been to. The price of the food was not worth it. I took my 5 yr old daughter and they didn't have a menu for her. Our waitress was not friendly. This place doesn't deserve a star...sorry.

The Stove is a small restaurant with creative dishes that are always fresh. I had the "visiting fish" which was a delicious rockfish and my husband had their signature dish which is shrimp and grits. The bread they serve prior to the meal is the best bread you will ever taste! The wines are fantastic. Service is always supurb. Treat... More

Went to Stove on a friends recommendation. Kinda hard to find, but well worth the effort! Menu was so interesting I couldn't decide so took the tasting menu. So did my daughter - basically we split the difference and picked off each other's plates. Everything we tasted - EVERYTHING - was absolutely delectable. Cannot speak to the alcohol choices because... More
