be prepared to wait.

We came here the day after thanksgiving with about 7 people in our party. It was busy but we were seated immediately. But that was it. After that we waited about 20 minutes for the server to take our drink order. About 10 minutes later she took our food order, all of us ordered the Buffalo burger... read more

My motorcycle buddy and I really enjoyed our meal at the Swinging Bridge, after a full day of riding. Sorry there was no alcohol license....well, at least my buddy was slightly disappointed (I don't drink), but he was able to buy beer at the General Store and then drink it before our meal across the street at the lodge where... We were staying across the street at the lodge, and it was nice to have a place for dinner so close since the area is a bit remote. The owners have done a wonderful job making the restaurant feel warm and welcoming, despite being one large open room. There is a huge fireplace with sofas around. The menu had plenty... More

Myself and a friend had lunch at the Swinging Bridge Restaurant today. We got there about 2:30pm and we had the whole restaurant to ourselves, a few came in later. We both got the Kickin' Chicken sandwich. And by the way it is not spicy hot. And got the Buffalo Chips which are (hand cut potato chips). The sandwich was... More

My wife and I chose Paint Bank as a quiet getaway to start our vacation. On our first night we had late dinner at "The Swinging Bridge". Not that there were many choices in the area but even if there had been this would have been the right choice. It is a charming place with friendly staff and delicious fare.... More

This little restaurant is located at the back of a general country store. We had fried chicken, pinto beans and mac'n'cheese. We were too full for dessert but the waitress said they had "nanner puddin" which we will be calling it henceforth! Great place!

Stopped in on a beautiful fall day. The setting is beautiful. The restaurant is interesting - plenty of things to look at while you wait. And you'll wait - they're pretty laid back. But the food was good and definitely worth the visit.

We have been here a few times. The food is good. My husband had the buffalo burger and loved it. I had the grilled chicken which was also good. I think the prices have gone up slightly but we still love going here. We take our out of towners here as well. The atmosphere is great! We will be back.

So on our recent travels, we went looking for the famous Cow-Chick sculpture. We ended up driving 45 miles out of our way, over cloud and fog shrouded windy mountain roads, only to end up at our destination. And there we found not only the sculpture, but also this fabulous restaurant. We had a fantastic lunch. The meatloaf was worth... More

We decided to drive about an hour from The Homestead for a different dining experience based on a very favorable article in a local paper. We were not disappointed. The omelette, sausage and homemade biscuits were outstanding! The service we excellent that the staff very friendly. After our wonderful breakfast, we spent another hour shopping in the upstairs store...and, walking... More
