A good Seafood Chowder

Having had a good meal at the Village Cafe on the other side of the road , we returned on a Saturday to find it closed early on a Saturday. As Fish Bone cafe remained open we ventured inside. The outside seating is far more attractive than the plain cafe decor inside, but the service was... read more

Went for breakfast. Seems there "chef" can't scramble or poach eggs! Really nice coffee and service was good but shame about the food.

This café is in Kerikeri. As cafes go, it has nothing special to recommend it. There are better cafes in the town.

The food is nice, the location is perfect, shame that staff can take a smoke break and sit outside with customers while they try to enjoy their meals!

Went here for a lunch on recommendation of a friend plus the place always seems busy so wanted to give it a try. The food was very poor, tasteless and tiny portion of Thai red curry with a lump of rubbery tasteless over cooked rice, small chowder that tasted "industrial" i.e not homemade. Even a side of fries was bad,... More

Consistently very good, never great, but never poor either. It's a favourite with my kids,,and the coffees are among the best around. Nice convenient location, relaxed atmosphere, and smartly managed. And don't miss the wine bar on Thursday and Friday evenings, where manager Steve shares his expertise and enthusiasm, and serves some outstanding tapas style snack plates, especially the salt and... We like Fishbone, the Cappuccion is always spot on, cabinet food is nice and home made, so it appears, and the variety is different to the standard food, most cafes offer. The crispy noodle salad is nice as well, and staff is always friendly and quick.

Standard good quality café food. Can sit outdoors, friendly and efficient staff. Nice coffee and apart from weekends you can feel comfortable reading the paper and lingering over that second coffee.
