A special occasion made even more memorable by the ambiance, service and the spectacular food. Even though there were other diners in the restaurant, we truly felt like the only ones there. It was winter but the soft lighting, heating and candles made it very warm, relaxing and cosy. There were 5 of us so we started with 2 Vineyard... More

The staff had arranged secretly for my retirement fair well function. 22 of us turned up, they had booked for that many. The set up was fantastic, warm inside with a wine or two and a wine tasting before we started the meal if you wanted. The meal was great as was the service, I could not have wanted for... More

Went for dinner midweek to celebrate a birthday. There was one other party of about 8 people already seated. We were greeted warmly and by name. The ambience was warm and inviting complimented by a cosy log fire. The menu is smallish but there were a couple of specials. We decided on the asian style beef spring rolls which were... More

We came here for lunch on Sunday and had a lovely time, the service was brilliant and the food delicious. I had the little platter for one (smoked salmon, dips & breads, deli meats etc) and my partner had the seafood chowder, we were both really pleased and ended up ordering a crème brulee for dessert which could've been slightly... We had the platter to share as a starter which was very good. Lots of bread and an excellent selection. Mains we had the steak which was well cooked and was very much enjoyed. Wine was superb and service was great.

We were staying in the area and decided to try Ake Ake Winery for lunch and we were so glad we did. The atmosphere was delightful and relaxed. We were met by the owner, who showed us to our choice of table with a view to the vines. The service was attentive but discreet and the food was delicious. We... More

I eat here 3-4 times a year and if you include family members probably 30-40 times a year, consistently good in a lovely setting, and high quality of food and wine.

Charming vineyard restaurant. The tables are sheltered under an open sided marquee overlooking the vines. We enjoyed a lunch respectively of lamb and of Angus beef fillet. Both utterly delicious with good sauce and accompanying vegetables. Their own chambourcin wine provided an excellent accompaniment to the meal. Good to be automatically provided with a bottle of water at no additional... More

My daughter's wedding reception was held here, and I found it elegant, airy, sophisticated. I wasn't personally involved with pricing, so can't share cost/benefit information, however, food was delicious and well presented, and the service was impeccable. Staff was friendly and accomodating. The setting is idyllic. Value and cost information below are unknown to me, so Ill rate them one... More
