A group of 7 of us visited Kerikeri and we took in the Old Packhouse Market; wine tasting at Ake Ake vineyard and then adjourned to Food at Wharepuke for lunch. We have posted a previous review when we were there for the Thai Banquet, and our view has not changed. Excellent setting Wonderful food Great value Service was all... More

My husband and I totally love Wharepuke! The only trouble is making a decision about what to eat. The pork belly is so incredible that we keep ordering it about 75% of the time! The restaurant is peaceful and relaxing and the outside seating with its lush jungle-like setting makes it especially unique. We bring every visitor there at least... More

This place was packed for midweek lunch despite being fairly expensive at around $35 for a main, and apparently it can be quite hard to get a table. Its very high end food in an outdoor tropical setting, although the bench seats are a lot more comfortable than the individual chairs. There was quite a long wait between courses and... More

My wife and I travel NZ singing at schools. We visit every town in NZ once a year and eat out all over the country all the time. I do trip advisor reports for accommodation not meals. My second visit to Wharepuke has got me so enthused I have to do my first review of an eaterie. This place is... More

If you enjoy fine dining this is the place to go be. Colin and Rachael have everything down to a fine art. The food is outstanding and the hospitality is second to none. The pork belly is just delicious and the pana cota is a must. Never disappointed on any of our numerous visits.

We dined twice at Food during our Northlands stay. Once with friends and once on our own. Friendly and professional service paired with the high quality of produce and care taken by the kitchen would certainly keep us coming back if we lived in this region. As visitors we can sometimes fail to locate good dining locations if we are... More

Where to start, the venue - Whisked away to Bali, The Cusine - Whisked to Paris, New York (They wished), the Wine list - Just Whisked away. All 1st class, with knowledgeable friendly and helpful waiting staff... Food for Foodies, has to be one of the top 10 in NZ.

Amazing garden setting - little pricey but very nice for lunch. Recommended by another restaurant in Whangerai - Split.
