Description: Bloom Restaurant is located just south of the beautiful Martinborough Wine...
Bloom Restaurant is located just south of the beautiful Martinborough Wine Village at Murdoch James Estate vineyard, one of New Zealand's most highly regarded Pinot Noir producers. Just 10 minutes drive from the town square and located in a stunning elevated setting with panoramic views, Bloom offers a range of dining options, or just a coffee and/or a glass of wine to relax with after an afternoon exploring nearby vineyards. Sit on the deck in the summer months and watch the river trickle by at your feet and the grapes growing nearby. Or, in Winter, sit indoors by the crackling fire, and enjoy a slow, relaxing meal. Our cuisine is always sourced locally and only the freshest ingredients are used. For a sample of our menu, check our website, or call for more information.

Lunch at Bloom Restaurant

We had a fantastic lunch at Bloom Restaurant. The steak and lamb meals were superb. We recommend this restaurant. The wine tasting prior to lunch was also great

This is a beautiful place. Eating on the deck on a lovely summer day, looking out over rolling hills of vines was great. But ... the place has won awards for beef and lamb, and my companions went for meat options., which they said were satisfactory. I chose the veggie route, which was supposed to be stuffed peppers with orzoi.... More

We went to Bloom hoping to find our new local winery restaurant having moved to the region from Blenheim we need a new restaurant to frequent. Unfortunately although the wine tasting was excellent the service was below expectations. We did visit on a rather busy Sunday lunchtime but we had booked a table in advance. The menu was reasonable for... More

We booked Bloom for a function with family and friends to celebrate our wedding in Martinborough. We chose this venue based purely on reviews and other comments from Trip Advisor, so we were a little nervous when we arrived. We didn't need to be. Marcus was a wonderful host, making sure that things ran smoothly the whole night. He was... More

After tasting some delicious wines at the adjacent Murdoch James Estate winery, we took a seat on the outside deck overlooking an idyllic scene of a gently-flowing river and lots of greenery. It was an early lunch so we were the only guests in the restaurant. Our waiter approached us and took our order with an air of what I... More

It is a little out of town but well worth the effort. The food prepared by Michael and his team is simply superb. The menu is easily the best in Martinborough so if you are visiting the town and looking for a place to go Bloom is the choice to make. The wines from Murdoch James vineyard are also worth... More

We took a day trip to Martinborough from Wellington. We wanted a nice lunch somewhere different to the usual places in the town centre. Bloom was recommended to us by another restaurant which had no availability. This worked out well as we were not aware of Bloom and probably wouldn't have gone otherwise. Bloom is a 5/10 minute drive outside... More

A group of 13 of us came in for a sunday lunch after discovering that Coney down the road was closed during August and September. It actually turned out to be a great turn of events - the wine tasting and service was fantastic, and the food was very good. Had a range of mains - monkfish, confit chicken, steak,... More

Just totally love this restaurant. The food is just devine and the service is always great. I have been here a good 6-7 times when I visit out in Martinborough and can't seem to want to go elsewhere because I know the food is really good here.
