Husband and I dined at Bloom mid week in June, neither were super hungry so we shared a platter for two and a couple of ciders. We weren't super impressed with the wine upon tasting but thought we would give it a try. Restaurant was cold, so we sat in the sun although this meant we were fairly close to... More

After a morning of wine tasting in the Martinborough region, lunch beckoned when we visited the Murdoch James Estate. The restaurant was quite full (after all it was Mothers' Day) but we were soon seated and enjoying the lamb and pork belly.

This was our second favourite meal in New Zealand. The food was fresh and cooked beautifully. The staff were a lot of fun and added to the overall atmosphere. Great views too.

Love the scenery and atmosphere in the restaurant, there is a comfortable couch around fireplace while sipping wine away... We arrived a little late for lunch but they were still more than happy to serve us lunch menu. They had a good selection of entree and other mains. We had lamb and beef which they have just recently won the... More

We have visited Bloom with different friends twice in the past month and have had a positive experience on both occasions. During these visits, we have collectively sampled main courses which were the confit of chicken leg, the fish of the day (warehou and monkfish), sirloin steak and the pork belly. All were accompanied by ample portions of vegetables, the... More

The poor chef had had an accident the day before we arrived so the menu had been pared down, but despite that, the tasting platter, cheese platter and chicken liver pate was delicious. Service was excellent and the wine selection delectable. I'd recommend this to anyone visiting the Murdoch James vineyard or for ladies who want a nice lunch. Just... More

The meal was very nice, I had fish & hubby had steak, which was huge. We enjoyed the Pinot Gris & Chardonnay. The viewsof the landscape & gardens were lovely from the high deck. The service was excellent. Thank you to our waiter, we will definitely return.
