Good food

We went there as had a coupon on entertainment book. It was very busy at lunchtime but reception was good. We had the enchiladas and chicken harissa salad. Both were nice and good enough quantity. It took a while for the food to come but it was busy. Good food but maybe not good enough to leave a... read more

Coffee and pastry were very good and it looked like it would have been a decent brunch choice too. Quite busy, so obviously popular. The music, channelled through from a recording or the radio, was a bit loud and intrusive so it didn't feel comfortable. Probably more for the 20-something than the 40-something to feel comfortable.

We had dinner here recently - was a lovely evening so we sat outside. Service was friendly and efficient. I just wasn't overly impressed with my meal. It was cooked nicely but just wasn't to my taste. Not sure if I would return for dinner.

It was a busy Saturday morning in Martinborough when our group of nine went into Cafe Medici for morning tea. When ordering we noticed that the young staff was struggling to find an efficient system to process a lot of orders. The apparent manager did not appear to be assisting them particularly.. We chose a drink and a scone/muffin each.... More

Dropped in for brunch during Wellington anniversary weekend. The place was packed (always a good sign). The staff looked rushed off their feet, and there was a wee bit of a wait for our meals... But they were definitely worth the wait! The food was simple, but prepared to perfection. The cafe uses, fresh local ingredients, and you can taste... More

Eight of us went for brunch on a busy Sunday morning. The restaurant was packed, however we were seated within 5 minutes. 5 different meal selections all looked good and received very positive reviews. However we waited over an hour for the meals to be served and they came out in waves. 3 orders, then 2 more, then 2 more,... More

We came here on Wellington Anniversary Day - so that may have been the reason it was so busy and the food took so long. But we had about a 50 minute wait for our breakfast and they had said it would be 20 mins. They were really really busy though. Food was good, we had pancakes, mexican enchilada and... More

Had a lovely meal here. The food was fresh and tasty, with the interesting differences that you would expect from a top restaurant. The food was not over priced and the staff, while not obtrusive, were a most efficient team, lead by the charismatic maitre'd. A memorable evening. When we returned for lunch we were greeted as friends and will... More

We visited Medici for breakfast which was excellent. Excellent vegetarian options and par for the course prices. Courtyard pleasant on a good day and service quick and efficient.
