High quality food with rustic charm

Absolutely love this place staff forever smiling, food served in a timely manner only downfall would be the outdoor area can be quite messy with chairs strewn everywhere from patrons shuffling them around.

Husband and I shared the slow cooked shoulder of lamb with roasted vegetables. Massive portion, cooked to perfection. Excellent service by everyone. Would definitely recommend.

There are few cafes that can consistently tick all the boxes - Medici achieves it "in spades". Nick and his team provide a perfect cafe feel, busy, up tempo, great food, local wines, top coffee, tables continuously turning and all held together by Marvin - a consummate professional, friend to all, smooth as proverbial silk but a master of food... We had heard good things about Medici, so booked for dinner one Friday night. It was the night before a big event in Martinborough so was very busy. We waited for about 45 minutes for our meal which was understandable. The food was of mixed quality. Some meals were excellent, others (including the beef Wellington) were less so. One meal... More

We had lunch here on the way from Napier to Wellington. Very light and pleasant ambience in this cafe, with very good service. We had three dishes - the farmer’s breakfast, the burger and chips, and the chicken fajitas. I had the chicken fajitas wrap with sour cream and guacamole, which was simply superb - one of the best things... More

The Cafe is a sleek design and offers many different seating options. The coffee was good but I ordered a scone, waited ten minutes and it was served straight out of the case with had butter. The staff needs better training. The scone did taste good but would have been much better heated.

We went here twice on a trip to Martinborough, both for lunch. Hubby had the lamb burger bin times and I tried the squid salad and the chorizo and prawn linguini. All meals were quick to arrive and tasty. Squid was perfectly cooked and prawns were massive. Hubby was really happy with his burger as he often finds lamb burgers... More

When we stayed in Martinborough for our Christmas holiday we went to this cafe four times. The coffee was superb, the sausage rolls the best I have tasted in my life and the beef burger and chips also the best. The ingredients used were so fresh and the taste very sophisticated for what sounds like very ordinary food. They managed... More
