Superb Food and Service

Eleanore's is located in the Chateau Yering Estate and it is decorated in typical European style albeit a slightly 'poorer cousin'. Service was superb and the food befitting of a restaurant that had won awards. Our evening would have been perfect except for a very loud in-house Caucasian guest... read more

My first visit the the Yarra Valley in ten years and all my '50 and Foodie' friends insisted I go to Eleonore's. So I did and here is my tale of woe. 1. Staff lacked experience and eye for service. Simple things such as getting the drinks order correct was unforgivable. 2. Food - menu limited with some food choices... More

The most amazing and well preserved building from yesteryear. The food is exceptional with the perfect amount being dished out on your plate with a design of top chefs. You feel very special eating here and you do pay for it, is it worth it. Yes.

We found Eleonore's not as traditional as were expecting as the dishes were quite inventive. You can tell that the chef has tried to balance all the flavours carefully in the dishes as when eating you might find one ingredient overbearing but when you put them together it makes sense. Though this was interesting, I found some of the combinations... More

With food like this, why isn't this restaurant full every night? We had the restaurant practically to ourselves - what a surprise. As a result, the service was exceptional! Right from the amuse bouche of goats curd with truffle and sprinkled with ash, which sparked the evening off, through to the pre-desert hazlenut cheesecake, followed by cardamom panna cotta with... Eleanore's is a must visit for a fine dining experience in the Yarra Valley near Melbourne. The food is excellent -the slow cooked lamb falls apart on the fork and is combined with vegetables that match perfectly. The desserts are also excellent. The lemon creme brûlée is combined with coconut, white chocolate and other delights that make each taste different... More

Our experience at Eleonores was just what we expected. The surroundings are sumptuous and beautifully set out. You are guided to your seat and have the choice of a set price two or three course menu. The food was indeed lovely, very well prepared and the flavours fresh and exciting. I would have liked a little more choice in each... More

My husband and I dined here last week and thoroughly enjoyed the evening! We opted for the degustation menu, my husband had the vegetarian version and I had the standard. We found the food to be top class, I especially enjoyed the pork and wagyu beef dishes. The service was friendly and attentive. We were a little confused after our... More

Food, service and ambience. Glass walled conservatory overlooks gardens and distant hills. Lovely menu with original touches.

When my daughter and I took a short trip to Yarra Valley, Chateau Yering and Eleonore's were on our must do list. The dinning room was beautifully decorated and set up. We had the tasting menu. Every dish was artistically presented and was delicious. Suckling pig was the winner. Other highlights include truffled butter and selection of house baked rolls.... More
