Glass walls at the front of the outdoor area and large windows opening to the sea air capture the light and view for all diners in all weather with new modern alfresco furniture. The Penneshaw Hotel – also known as the “Penny”- has both inside and alfresco dining areas giving the hotel a relaxed casual feel. However, there's nothing casual about the excellent presentation and consistency of the food. With a superb wine list, some of the best pub food SA has to offer and competitive function options the Penny is a perfect crowd pleaser.

Fun little pub

We had a really great time here, it took the staff a couple of days to warm up to us, but we loved it. Remember, this is a small town and the locals all know each other, not you. Grab a table but head up to the bar to order drinks and food, this was quickest; food was a bit... read more

My family visited the Penneshaw Hotel on our last night visiting KI before heading home. The food was average, front bar busy, staff were rushed appearing stressed and somewhat unfriendly. Not a good way to finish up our holiday.

Had Anzac Day lunch here on arrival. Excellent views and good service but mixed review on the meal. Had the Whiting and chips which was tender juicy and tasty. However it repeated on me all day. Dear Wife had the burger and the pattie was excellent but she is not a fan of a Brioche style bun.

Had a schnitzel for lunch here one day, staff were very friendly & advised of the days specials. The meal was served within 10 minutes; it was a good size & was filling, coming with chips & salad. I sat in the outdoors area where there were good sights across the gulf.

A bit pricey & menu was limited but suited our family's needs prior to boarding the Sealink. Service was fast. Kids fish & chips was generous serving.

We recently visited for a work function, the service was friendly, the views amazing, but must say the food was a let down, there was chicken snitzels not cooked properly there were only a couple in the group of 10 that were actually happy with our food

My wife and I ate here for Dinner with our 1 year old daughter. We booked as it was Easter Saturday. It was a busy night but the staff were very helpful and nice. We both had the burger as we needed something quick, and it did just that, came out within 10 mins. If it was just the 2... More

I went with some friends. There were about 10 of us all up and my meal was great. Cooked perfectly, I had the kangaroo and my partner the steak also had desert which was even better! Not everyone with us was happy with their meals but my experience was great. Service was not as good as I am used to... More

Service and views were great. Food was served within 20 minutes of ordering. Had sirloin steak and wife had the special Wagyu steak with seafood sauce. Both were exceptional. Best pub meal in a long time.

We had lunch here on Sunday. Andy had King George Whiting, chips and salad and I had Flathead, chips and salad. The food was beautifully presented and I must say that it was the nicest fish and chips that I have ever eaten. Andy gave it a big thumbs up also. The staff were very friendly and the view to...
