Great ole American style buffet!

A favorite of a dear friend from nearby Gordonsville. Great selection of items so there is something for everyone! Bring your appetite, lots of yummy home cooking items to try!

We stopped by recently and couldn't believe they were open. The restaurant was filthy. The ladies restroom had an overflowing toilet AND they knew but didn't do anything. There was a biscuit on the floor near our table. The waitress kept stepping over it while customers stepped on it. It looked like a waffle by time we left. $20 for... More

The title of this review says it all. The decor is pleasant, bright, and comfortable. The food is simple but delicious. For a buffet style restaurant, I've never seen better. The staff was kind and helpful, despite my kids' misbehavior. A happy and delicious experience.

We eat here fairly often, driving about 30 minutes, because they have consistently good food and a salad, vegetable and dessert bar with soft serve at a good price. Staff are friendly and our entrees are usually served quickly even when they are busy. I like to eat healthy, and especially like the grilled tilapia and the skewered shrimp. It... More

Being from the deep South my family knows about country, homestyle cooking.... And this place has it. From tomatoes over cornbread to sawmill gravy, Country Cookin will remind you of sitting at your grandmother's table in the South. Our server lacked personality but she was efficient. During our meal a lot of families came in with small children, but being... More

It isn't as great as it used to be, but it is edible. The menu has really gone downhill across all Country Cookin' chains. It has a decent breakfast and the bar items are good. The ordered items aren't stellar, but going with your basic chicken fingers is a safe bet. Don't get the fish though. The fish is gross.

Country Cookin provides basic good food for a great value. You can order off the menu or just do the hot sides and a salad. There are over fifty items on the bar. This, plus a dessert table with ice cream. Fresh rolls and corn bread are produced on a regular basis. My only problem with this trip is that... More

This is the best location for Country Cookin! The servers and the food are always excellent! I love the country fried steak and onion rings. If you leave here hungry, there is something wrong. Mondays are especially high value--two free kids meals for each adult meal. Our entire bill was around $6.50!

Chicken fried steak was good; the upgrade to onion rings was $.49 for me vice the $.29 listed in some of the other reviews. Decent, but not gourmet, salad bar. Buffet style side dishes were nothing to rave about; corn bread was above average, the green beans seemed to have just been heated up out of a #10 can. The... More
