Loved my chile relleno. Loved the prices too! Large menu with so many choices. Quick service. Restaurant located in a former fast food restaurant but decorated with sombreros, horses, and Spanish cowboys. Lots of locals go here.

I was recently at a workshop in Orange, Va, and 10 of us decided to go to El Vaquero for dinner. The staff was very accommodating, pushing 5 tables together for us and having no problem with separate checks. I'm no Mexican food expert, but my Fajitas were excellent. No one in the group had anything but good reports on... More

Good small-town Mexican fare served by friendly folks in a nice atmosphere. It won't make it to a foodie magazine, but great for a family passing through or stopping by.

This must be a favorite for the locals, because everyone seemed to know each other!! Very extensive menu, great food, very hot and spicy and great service.

Nothing to rave about but not bad either. Typical small town, safe Tex-Mex food. Very friendly staff. Chille rellenos are good.

The location is great and the decor is a bit differant from most Mexican Resturaunts. The foor and service was very good and quick. Ate dinner and thought the prices were a bit high but not outragous. Next time we will try lunch.

We just called in an order of 2 carnatas. Once we were home the meat was very limited on both portions as well as the beans and rice. It did not even cover the bottom of the little take out container. Lettuce, tomato, were not included with for tortilla toppings, and to top it all off they gave us one tiny... More

Atmosphere is simple, a bit run down, could be cleaner for sure; food is consistently okay not great but not bad. Alcohol is reasonable and is a good place to share some apps while catching up with friends

We stopped here because there were several cars in the parking lot so we thought that was an indicator or how good the food would be. We were not at all disappointed. The staff was friendly and hard working. The food was good and came out quickly, as we have come to expect from Mexican restaurants. The price was very... More

As Texans, my wife and I have seen top notch Mexican food. This location would probably be able to have a decent clientele in Houston and financially survive. My wife thought their chips were a little too thick and a little over-baked. The sauza is tasty with a good deal of spice. The fajitas for two was probably enough for... More
