Never disappoints - best curries in Canberra

A fabulous night out with a great hostess who has to be one of the finest ladies in town - remembers everyone and is so friendly and welcoming. All this and great food as well. Plenty of choices, cooked to the heat you want, and I especially love the fish curry. Good size meals and always a... read more

I had heard many good things about this place, and finally visited it last night. Very disappointing. The food was mediocre, not good or bad but simply middle of the road, and the service was frustrating. We ordered drinks when we arrived, and by the time our mains had arrived our drinks still hadn't, despite me reminding the waitress. In... More

This place is located in the small suburban shops and is easy to miss- but don't miss it!!! Has the best, best Indian food I have ever eaten. It's my favourite restaurant in the whole world (literally). I drive over there 5hrs round trip just to eat the chicken korma then drive back home, lol!!! It will be packed out,... More

When we went it was packed. Our table wasn't ready yet however the staff made a big effort, offering us a table with wine glasses outside while we waited. They also offered us complimentary dessert as well even though it wasn't their fault. We had the middle banquet and it was hands down the best Indian entrees I've ever had.... More

I am so impressed with the service we received at this restaurant last night. We had a booking for 7.30 but our table wasn't quite ready yet. The manager was so lovely and accommodating. She put the heat lamp on for us outside (it was lovely and toasty) and gave us wine glasses so we could enjoy a glass while... More

This family run business has such a fantastic atmosphere! Food is AMAZING!! We had to book in advance as its always busy and buzzing. The fabulous owner Mini personally took the time to chat with us and check if everything was ok. The fusion of Indian and Fijian is truly amazing. One can not visit Canberra without trying this place.

Dinner here recently was very much enjoyed by all of us, we had a large group so sitting outside was perfect. I had the fish pakoras and the lamb korma, both were excellent, l do not like my food to spicy and this was just perfect. Service is excellent, it's byo and the prices are reasonable as well. Great spot... More

Ramas is always full, mostly you need to reserve a table, and you will always be rewarded with great service and great food. I love the Fijian twist to trad Indian.

Haven't been to Ramas for years but booked it on a week night for a family birthday. Even on a Tuesday night it was pack out which is always a sign of a good restaurant. Our experience was wonderful. Excellent service. Probably a little pricier that the average suburban restaurant but the food was delicious. Even the younger ones are... More

This was our first visit to Ramas and we weren't disappointed. The goat curry was delightfully spicy as was the Dahl. The beef rogan josh and mango chicken were both very tender and flavoursome. Prices are very reasonable and the service very personal and friendly. BYO and noting how busy it was, bookings recommended.
