My wife and I dined here on Wednesday, Oct. 15, 2014. I expected it to be expensive, given the location, etc., what I didn't expect was a totally pedestrian, a la carte menu outrageously priced. At $54 my New York steak should have been "gristle-less". It wasn't. Although the restaurant was not busy, service was somewhat inattentive. We were in... More

The setting at Son'z is great. You're in an open environment with the ocean in the distance and swans swimming in lagoon just feet away from your table. The food was delicious and the staff was attentive without making us feel like they wanted us to leave quickly. I had fish and my spouse had steak. Both were excellent. It... More

Believe me this place is expensive, (in Hawaii what place isn't). Since we were on a tour and the meal was included we were able to enjoy the meal. I had the filet mignon and it was perfectly done and the description of a large baked potato was an understatement. Tiramisu was huge and delicious. The wife had a fish... More

Our first evening, when we arrived in Maui we had our dinner here, the view was amazing as well as the native birds swimming around in the lake, Flamingos and ducks swimming freely as you eat with the backdrop of the waterfall and sunset. The only negative were the small birds which come and peck on food left on tables... More

The atmosphere in this steak house is amazing and felt like dining in private. Food was very good - trendy - but good.

During our visit, service was mediocre at best. It was an almost empty restaurant but service was slow and unengaged during most of the meal. The food was not bad but not good either. It was, however, quite expensive, and the quality should have been better at these prices. There are better choices in Kaanapali, Lahaina, and Kapalua. Here is... More

This is supposed to be a great restaurant and we tried it on our first night at the Hyatt (as the restaurant becomes the breakfast restaurant in the morning which to me takes the shine off it). The view is excellent with gardens and a small lake with swans on it. The food though was overcooked and probably once great,... More

One would think that going to a restaurant with steakhouse in it's name that they would be known for their steak. I was so excited to eat at a steakhouse while on vacation. My husband and I knew it would be expensive but thought it would be worth our while. Boy were we wrong. I ordered a filet mignon and... More

Yes, this restaurant is a little pricey but it's also a cut above many of the other local Ka'anapali burger/fish n chip restaurants. It has a great atmosphere at night time and overlooks a waterfall and lake. The food is good - steaks were well cooked (but under seasoned). Kids were welcomed and service was good.
