Description: On the water's edge on Kaanapali Beach, Hula Grill offers a stunning view...
On the water's edge on Kaanapali Beach, Hula Grill offers a stunning view of the Pacific and of the islands of Lanai and Molokai that has to be seen to be believed. From this distinctly Hawaiian vantage point, you are invited to join us as we celebrate the hospitality, culture and cuisine of the islands. Dinner is served in our open-air dining room where you can relax in the ambiance of a plantation era beach house while enjoying renown chef Peter Merriman's Hawaii regional seafood that isn't only a favorite of vacationers, but locals, too. Hawaiian fresh fish and locally grown produce are combined to create amazing menu offerings that are as colorful as they are flavorful. Fiery sunsets are served up daily along with live Hawaiian entertainment. Our Barefoot Bar offers a more casual menu serving both lunch and dinner under authentic thatch roof umbrellas and a sand floor where you can sink your toes in. The Barefoot Bar is seated on a walk-in basis only.

Beautiful setting...good food!

Cannot complain about the view, the service, the drinks, or the food. Many people mention the 'sand beneath your feet' at the Barefoot Bar...loved it more than I thought I would! Our food was great...we ordered two of the pizzas. My lilikoi mojito...fantastic! And my husband ordered the... read more

Wasn't keen to go, but ended up being our best meal in Maui. The food was so delicious, mess craving it for the rest of the trip in Hawaii. Highlight was our server, would recommend out of 10

Beautiful sunset...live music and a hula dancer...sand between your toes...add casual dining and you are at the Hula Grill Barefoot Bar (outdoors, with palapas and tiki torches). Wait time to be seated ~45min. Shop while you wait at Whalers Village. Food was good but not exceptional, the drinks were a little on the watery side. The settIng and the ambience... More

We were staying at the Royal Lahaina Resort so the Hulu Grill is just a short walk away. We hadn't booked so there was a short wait, so we had a drink a the Barefoot Bar, very nice. The table we got was at the front of the restaurant outside, not right on the beach but close enough to see... More

This was our secret restaurant-- like years and years ago. Now it's everyone's favorite. How can it not be? Food? Perfect. Views? Nothing better. Service? Attentive and friendly. Bread? Amazing with the secret sauce stuff they give you! Desserts? Huge and often free, if you have been there before, if you own a timeshare, or for some other reason- just... More

Spent a week on Kaanapali Beach and ate here 3 times. Funny because our last trip in February 2014 we also ate here 3 times. It is that good! Our first two outings there this trip we had Ty as our server who was attentive and knowledgable of the menu. Nice sense of humor as well. Suggested the fish tacos... More

Have lunch or dinner under the thatched palapas with your toes in the sand at the Barefoot Bar of the Hula Grill. Hula Grill serves up a delicious and vibrant array of menu items featuring fresh Hawaiian fish and locally sourced seafood and vegetables. Enjoyed dining at Hula Grill again and again.

Make sure you go to the dining room. We ordered the stuffed crab - just excellent - and Peter's special (fish) - well selected ingredients, excellently prepared. For a restaurant with barefoot are: outstanding!

Location is right on the beachfont and you see a great sunset. Prices are midpriced but service is excellent. Portions are average. Food is very good. After dinner go for a nice walk along the beachfront sidewalks or go shopping at whalers village. If you drive and park in the garage at whalers village make sure you get your ticket... More
