On the water's edge on Kaanapali Beach, Hula Grill offers a stunning view of the Pacific and of the islands of Lanai and Molokai that has to be seen to be believed. From this distinctly Hawaiian vantage point, you are invited to join us as we celebrate the hospitality, culture and cuisine of the islands. Dinner is served in our open-air dining room where you can relax in the ambiance of a plantation era beach house while enjoying renown chef Peter Merriman's Hawaii regional seafood that isn't only a favorite of vacationers, but locals, too. Hawaiian fresh fish and locally grown produce are combined to create amazing menu offerings that are as colorful as they are flavorful. Fiery sunsets are served up daily along with live Hawaiian entertainment. Our Barefoot Bar offers a more casual menu serving both lunch and dinner under authentic thatch roof umbrellas and a sand floor where you can sink your toes in. The Barefoot Bar is seated on a walk-in basis only.

Just a quick visit

One of my favorite spots, on Kaanapali Beach, is Hula Grill. I have eaten here everytime that I have visited Maui. This trip, however, I visited for just a good pina colada and enjoy the surroundings (timing did not go along with appetite level). The Grill is always so busy, but wait staff is so... read more

The food was not great and the drinks were watery. The prices were as expensive as some other places we ate, which were far better.

We went to the Hula grill for Happy hour and stayed for dinner. We were seated by a very nice server at the barefoot bar area that had sand floors with a great view of the ocean. Our server was very attentive and friendly. After having our drinks and ordering our dinner, I found our server was ending his shift,... More

Aloha Dave, Heidi, and all the other bartenders (could not remember all their names) were the best. Killer cocktails, friendly and engaging conversation. This became our daily/ nightly go to bar. If you are visiting the Lahaina - Kaanapalli area in Maui (Whaler's Village) and you want to visit a great fun bar Hula Grill is the place.

Located right on Kaanapali Beach in the Whalers Village. The food was great and it was fun eating outside along the beach. Our kids loved the Smoothies and the Hula Pie

My sister and law and I just visited Maui - we had dinner two different nights at Hula Grill, Kaanapali. The first night was good - our server Jennifer was awesome and the food tasty. However, the second night proved not to be a good experience. Our server, Jerry, didn't have much Aloha spirit - and when I received my... More

Hula Grill has two restaurants, a casual tables in the sand side. This is nice for a casual laid back meal, they play music on nightly. They don't take reservations and the wait can get long but you can always shop at Whalers Village while you wait. The food is Fish tacos, short ribs, fries, etc. My review is on... More

We went to Hula Grill today and were very disappointed in the service and the food. We ate in the barefoot bar area and enjoyed the Hawaiian music but that was where the enjoyment stopped. We ordered and our drinks came with no straws. I thought maybe they don't use straws , but upon looking at the tables around us,... More
