Description: On the water's edge on Kaanapali Beach, Hula Grill offers a stunning view of the Pacific and of the islands of Lanai and Molokai that has to be seen to be believed. From this distinctly Hawaiian vantage point, you are invited to join us as we celebrate the hospitality, culture and cuisine of the islands. Dinner is served in our open-air dining room where you can relax in the ambiance of a plantation era beach house while enjoying renown chef Peter Merriman's Hawaii regional seafood that isn't only a favorite of vacationers, but locals, too. Hawaiian fresh fish and locally grown produce are combined to create amazing menu offerings that are as colorful as they are flavorful. Fiery sunsets are served up daily along with live Hawaiian entertainment. Our Barefoot Bar offers a more casual menu serving both lunch and dinner under authentic thatch roof umbrellas and a sand floor where you can sink your toes in. The Barefoot Bar is seated on a walk-in basis only.

We ate here for lunch. I ordered a salad with fish and macademia nuts. It was very fresh and good. My husband got the reuban sandwich with fries which he swears is the best reuban sandwich he's ever had in his life. I took a bite of it and it was delicious. This restuarant is located in Whaler's Village. It... More

Why? We ate here two time and stopped back for drinks twice plus I have been coming here for years so I feel that I have enough visits under my belt that I give the Hula Grill my vote for the best beach bar. Music all day. Remember, you are in Hawaii so I want everything to reflect that. Great... More

We arrived at around 6:30 however was given a buzzer as there was a 40minute wait. No problem as we browsed through the other stores including one of my favourites, sephora. The buzzer went off, however on our way to the restaurant (walking 2mins away), was the most gorgeous sunset. We took a few mandatory photos on the iPhone &... More

It was quite busy so we had tto eat at the bar, however the bar guy was good with his food and drink suggestions. The mai tai was good but make sure you stir it real well otherwise you get to the bottom and its horrible tasting. My goats cheese pizza was awesome and I am now a goats cheese... More

We felt that this was a less formal option compared to the other restaurants on the beacfront of Whalers Village. Great for a casual lunch or dinner, the live music gave it a very enjoyable, laid back atmosphere.

Beautiful beach views while eating fantastic food! Recommend the cerviche, fruit platter, fish sandwich( was the best I've ever had)! Also the dessert they are known for, a macadamia nut brownie ice cream sandwich was divine! Service was perfect! Will go back again before we leave Maui!!

This restaurant boasts a great location, with beautiful views of the ocean. We ate here twice during our stay in Maui. Both times we chose the more casual, outdoor section of the restaurant, with a lighter, "pub style" menu. Although we were seated right away on both occasions, the service was marginal. Each of our servers spent more time chatting... More

Met a bunch of girlfriends for lunch here and they easily accommodated one extra person, no problem. I ordered a small Caesar salad with anchovies and they brought me the most beautiful filets without a question even though they weren't on the menu. The service was prompt, efficient and unobtrusive. When we wanted to split the bill at the end... More

Love the outdoor ambiance -- you can have your toes in the sand while you eat. Enjoyed a wonderful macadamia nut coleslaw and shared an entree with my husband. My Mom and Auntie shared one order of fish and chips and it was plenty for their smaller appetites. Very relaxed, casual ambiance.

We ate here on our first night and last night. You can park in the garage and get your ticket validated. Check out the shops on your walk to the restaurant. The food and drinks were great. Service was good, too. Try to get a table down in the sand. The best part is the live music, which makes you... More
