Description: On the water's edge on Kaanapali Beach, Hula Grill offers a stunning view...
On the water's edge on Kaanapali Beach, Hula Grill offers a stunning view of the Pacific and of the islands of Lanai and Molokai that has to be seen to be believed. From this distinctly Hawaiian vantage point, you are invited to join us as we celebrate the hospitality, culture and cuisine of the islands. Dinner is served in our open-air dining room where you can relax in the ambiance of a plantation era beach house while enjoying renown chef Peter Merriman's Hawaii regional seafood that isn't only a favorite of vacationers, but locals, too. Hawaiian fresh fish and locally grown produce are combined to create amazing menu offerings that are as colorful as they are flavorful. Fiery sunsets are served up daily along with live Hawaiian entertainment. Our Barefoot Bar offers a more casual menu serving both lunch and dinner under authentic thatch roof umbrellas and a sand floor where you can sink your toes in. The Barefoot Bar is seated on a walk-in basis only.

So another disappointing meal in Maui at the dinner side of this restaurant (from the looks of it we probably would have fared better on the bar side where there was also live music). Nice enough ambiance, convenient location just lackluster food overall for all 8 of us. My sister and I enjoyed the filet but both of us woke... More

You will actually get sand between your toes if you sit on the outside patio. Great place to watch the sunset and enjoy beach music and Hula dancing. Food is very good and service friendly and efficient. Wait to get seated can be long but you have Whalers Village to shop while you wait.

One of our favorite restaurants on Ka’anapali Beach, we have dinned here for lunch several times since our first trip in 2012. Facing the ocean with views of Lanai and Molokai we find the ambiance to be exceptional. Combined with tasty food and outstanding service will always bring us back. My wife had the crevice and thought it was extremely... More

We sat down in the barefoot bar and had wonderful service from an older waiter who knew the menu inside and out. He had wonderful recommendations and it did not disappoint. Fish and chips were delicious and the sauce they serve so tasty. The cheeseburger was the best my son ever had--his words. Wonderful views of the ocean!!

Very disappointed ! 1. Potstickers were doughy with not much filling. 2. Macadamia mushy crusted fish served with overpowering pineapple slaw. 3. Bacon gave the seafood pasta its flavoring. 4th day in Mauii - worst restaurant so far!

A friend, my granddaughter and myself had reservations for six o'clock in the evening, just in time to enjoy a beautiful sunset. I am in a wheelchair and the wait-staff tOok exceptionally good care of us. The food was delicious and served in a timely manner, even though the restaurant was filled to capacity. There was no rush for us... More

We were so tired and hungry the day we arrived to Maui. Hula Grill was the first place we saw next to the Whalers where we were staying. It was so busy so we thought for sure it had to be good. Boy were we wrong. The server was spaced out and actually mentioned that he and the other waiters... More

Situated along the Kaanapali Pkwy...walkway....Hula Grill gets off to a great start. The sunset is amazing and the food that follows doesn't disappoint. The menu is short but you are bound to find something you like. When in Maui...you can't go wrong with the Ahi and Hula Grill does it right. They also have an amazing pineapple dessert that is... Great ambiance and fabulous ocean view. Sits right on the water, open air or go inside. Good entertainment (free) during happy hour. Didn't eat here but food looked delicious. It's at the end of Whaler's Village, which is high end shopping outdoor shops. You can catch the green trolley and get to whaler's village. It's free and you won't have... More
