Description: On the water's edge on Kaanapali Beach, Hula Grill offers a stunning view of the Pacific and of the islands of Lanai and Molokai that has to be seen to be believed. From this distinctly Hawaiian vantage point, you are invited to join us as we celebrate the hospitality, culture and cuisine of the islands. Dinner is served in our open-air dining room where you can relax in the ambiance of a plantation era beach house while enjoying renown chef Peter Merriman's Hawaii regional seafood that isn't only a favorite of vacationers, but locals, too. Hawaiian fresh fish and locally grown produce are combined to create amazing menu offerings that are as colorful as they are flavorful. Fiery sunsets are served up daily along with live Hawaiian entertainment. Our Barefoot Bar offers a more casual menu serving both lunch and dinner under authentic thatch roof umbrellas and a sand floor where you can sink your toes in. The Barefoot Bar is seated on a walk-in basis only.

We ate here for lunch last Saturday and it was one of the best meals of the trip. We split the Kalua Pork and Pineapple pizza and got drinks. We had a table closest to the beach and I loved having the sand underneath our feet. Our server was Cody and he helped us chose the best meal and he... More

I'm sorry - just because this restaurant is on the beach at kanapaali does not justify a totally lousy dinner for a lot of money. Yes, their waitstaff is very adorable and very sweet. But the food is average, overpriced and dull.

Several happy hours, great pupus, nothing is bad......everything is great. We had the chef's tasting dinner for $25.95. App, dinner, and dessert, if you don't won't to eat alot, this is a great way to dine....and it was all excellent. Opah and mahi mahi as entrees, shrimp cake and lobster potstickers were the apps....ice cream between to brownies.......everything was very... More

We came here for the view (Hula is beach front) 10 years ago but keep coming back for the food. Time your reservation for right after sunset and go early and enjoy the view. Excellent food and not stuffy at all. Great breeze throughout dinner- if you love being outside in Hawaii this is a great choice for dinner :)

My husband and I went twice. I have been before and it has not changed when it comes to the quality of food. Be sure to make a reservation as they get packed very quickly.

I like the Hula Grille in Maui some much we had the visit the other one in Oahu. It is casual and not too "snooty"...you won't feel like it's the Four Seasons if you want to chill. Decent pub like food outside, with more typical Maui dinner stuff inside. Try to fish stew with coconut milk....NICE! Outside is more fun... More

We came because of the food, view and atmosphere and we were not disappointed. You can't expect Michelin award winning dishes - that would be rated 5-stars plus on TA - but you can expect great service and very good locally-inspired food. An example would be the Poke Taco. While we prefer wine, many rave about the cocktails and the... More

We visit at least once a year to Maui and always eat dinner more than once at the Hula grill. We love their fresh fish and the location.

Sitting at the edge of Whaler's Village, walkable from any of the resorts, and live music for Happy Hour. Good drinks, good food, good music, GREAT LOCATION! We sat on the sand patio which was relaxing, listened to the music, rested our feet in the cool sand and watched the sunset and the waves crash on the sand..............yes, delightful!
