Description: On the water's edge on Kaanapali Beach, Hula Grill offers a stunning view...
On the water's edge on Kaanapali Beach, Hula Grill offers a stunning view of the Pacific and of the islands of Lanai and Molokai that has to be seen to be believed. From this distinctly Hawaiian vantage point, you are invited to join us as we celebrate the hospitality, culture and cuisine of the islands. Dinner is served in our open-air dining room where you can relax in the ambiance of a plantation era beach house while enjoying renown chef Peter Merriman's Hawaii regional seafood that isn't only a favorite of vacationers, but locals, too. Hawaiian fresh fish and locally grown produce are combined to create amazing menu offerings that are as colorful as they are flavorful. Fiery sunsets are served up daily along with live Hawaiian entertainment. Our Barefoot Bar offers a more casual menu serving both lunch and dinner under authentic thatch roof umbrellas and a sand floor where you can sink your toes in. The Barefoot Bar is seated on a walk-in basis only.

Hula Grill

Loved this local eatery. My husband & I were only in Maui 3 days & we ate at the Hula Grill twice. The food was fresh & outstanding. The wait staff were friendly & took their time explaining the different meal choices.

Good place for fun or relaxing dinner. Two sides. .one with casual dining and music, the other with a full menu. Good food.

We eat here 2 or 3 times every time we stay in Kaanapali. Never get tired of the live entertainment, the tacos or the view. You are sitting on the sand just off the boardwalk looking out over the sunset sipping on a beer and eating some great food. Never disappoints.

We visited Maui for 5 days in May 2015. Since we are big fans of Dukes restaurants, we decided to eat at the Barefoot Bar area of the Hula Grill in Ka'anapali. Parking is in a parking structure and the walk to the beach and the Hula Grill is very pleasant. They serve tropical drinks and varied Pacific Asian fusion... More

Intimate outdoor restaurant steps from the beach. Great food. Fun place, always crowded. One of 3 right there at Whaler's Village. Highly recommend

Hula Island Grill is where you can sit with your feet in the sand, listen to some great Hawaiian music under a palapa and enjoy the view while eating fish tacos and drinking a tropical drink...a perfect afternoon on West Maui! Can't wait to go back!

We expected this to be super touristy, but this was actually very enjoyable. We went twice and sat at the bar both times. We had some great local food - flatbread and ceviche - as well as good drinks. Happy hour is a good deal. The lillikoi mojito is great. And a wonderful view!

We ate at the Hula Grill 3 times during our 8 day stay in Maui. We prefer the the barefoot bar area although they don't take reservations. Love the atmosphere, food and music! Simple and easy!!!

Tropical drinks, music and Hawaiian fare, on the beach! Sweet, fruity drinks, classical mai tai's, fresh fish and an unbelievable view of the channel, Lanai and Molokai. Kick off your flip flops and dig your toes into the sand!
