Great burgers, good beer, great service! Angie (from MN) was an excellent server. She was attentive to our needs and very friendly.

We lived close by and at least once a week we would eat or drink here. Service was cool, live music was great, loved the place

Although we didn't eat here, we did enjoy drinks. Moscow mule was served in a traditional copper mug with fresh mint and ginger beer. Large beer is $9.50, but reasonable considering the size. Wait staff was busy, but still managed to make sure we were taken care of.

We had a quick lunch at this restaurant and we were definitely not impressed with it's decor. Nothing has been done to the interior to indices clients in. We had an average quick meal and found the prices a little high. The wait staff were friendly but service was quite slow. Probably would avoid this restaurant on any future trip.

So we had been to look at Balboa Island. A great little place to have a look-see. As we were driving off, we got held at a junction, and just to the right was the Village Inn, with a lit-up sign saying "cocktails", and there was a free parking space 3 feet away right outside the door. It was fun to sit by the fireplace and enjoy a late lunch. Not many people in the place before the dinner rush, so we weren't expecting such great service. The food was simple and very good! The restaurant looks boring from the outside, but inside it is cozy and warm.

Some things never change, and the Village Inn is one of them. The menu is virtually unchanged from the sixties, which is rather charming.

Excellent lunch and great service. Food choice was very varied and included brunch as well as lunch. Good selection of draft beers and pleasant atmosphere. Will definitely come back and hope that the halibut sandwich is still on the menu!
